Oooh, Threshold's on tonight. And ack! at your comments, Jessica.

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

Allie, you might try Destina's recs, which can be found here. Lots of J/D.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

ITA, Jess. Who said good actors trump good writing? That would be a yup. Without Dinklage, we're one step closer to just another Surfacing Invasion.

I found tonight's Threshold pretty dull. Not to mention yet another show that's gone the EMP route. Getting old, people! Also, there would be massive secondary damage, like in hospitals and traffic signals and emergency communications and financial institutions. Most computers that weren't shielded would be wiped clean, IIRC. The damage would probably be in the billions.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I want to like Threshold because the cast is so fabulous, but the writing is pretty bad. I keep hoping it will get better.

Yeah. I keep wanting to see Karen Sisco in Molly Caffrey, and she's just not there. Molly's got no edge, she's all nice warm bureaucrat with admittedly great clothes (loved that green leather jacket) who wants to saaaaave everyone! Yeah, whatever. They're all too perfect, although I do like the constant low-level whine about how they never get to go home. Maybe someone will go on a bender?

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

loved that green leather jacket

Looooooved that jacket. But yes, I keep wanting her to be Karen Sisco, and she's not.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

So my "Exodus from Genesis" opinion is as follows:

Claudia Black has damn nice legs.

Okay, there's more than that. I'm liking how the character dynamics are coming into focus. The fact that this is a ragtag group of fugitives who didn't really want to be stuck with each other, but they have to find some common ground if they're going to survive.

I'm a little wary of the way new alien abilities/weaknesses keep cropping up, because I fear they'll randomly introduce something for plot purposes that doesn't make any sense in light of the previous episodes.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Um...
