I already know what I'm gonna call her. Got a name all picked out...

Boxed Set, Vol. II: "It's a Cookbook...A Cookbook!!"

A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

They have Sharon in prison. You'd think she would tell them a version of what the cylons have planned. Her loyalties are divided, but she should be able to answer this question definitively.

I think that poster is referring to this bit from "Tigh Me Up":

Billy: Madame President, with all due respect, I cannot believe that we're actually entertaining the idea that Commander Adama has been somehow replaced by a Cylon duplicate.

It's the same way Helo initially reacted as if there was a "real" Boomer somewhere and the one he was with on Caprica was a copy. It is reasonable for the characters to be confused about the issue. We know more than they do. If they could duplicate humans exactly, that'd be a pretty useful thing to do. Since they haven't, I assume they can't. Plus, if they could do that, we'd have to assume they can copy human memories somehow, and if they can do that... they win.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

if they could do that, we'd have to assume they can copy human memories somehow, and if they can do that... they win.

OTOH, humans get to live forever.

Sorta.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Okay, I admit to being a bit confused. Strega, that's a little clearer.

FWIW, most of the people I know who watch the show (but do not talk about the show on message boards) also believe that the cylons could have replaced someone as an adult.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Guy #1: Man, there are so many hipsters around. I hate hipsters! Guy #2: You're at the wrong place. That's like going to Vegas only to say "I hate titties!" --The Warsaw, Williamsburg (OINY)

Smallville: I didn't watch the premiere (BF didn't Tivo it grrr) but we just started watching from the beginning - reruns on Saturday afternoons. I could not believe the HoYay! I mean, I know the show is held up as the ultimate yay-fest but really, it's hysterically absurd. The truck gift after mouth to mouth ! "I don't want anything to get in the way of our relationship" ! The box+pretty necklace inside gift !

Also, about this season's premiere, isn't JM the new Big Bad ?

ETA I know it's not considered spoilery for 5 years ago but whitefont is fun.

Art Crawl!!!

He is Brainiac. .. but Lex is also rather big baddish now. Or so the premiere would have us believe.

Who was Lionel channelling?

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

Who was Lionel channelling?

An ancient roman by the name of Plotus Devicus.

So, is tonight the night we find out what the 12 Colonies equivalent of strawberries is, or did they end the first half of their season last week as well?

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Sci-Fi Friday is gone until January.
