Well, a gathering is brie, mellow song stylings; shindig, dip, less mellow song stylings, perhaps a large amount of malt beverage, and hootenanny, well, it's chock full of hoot, just a little bit of nanny.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Mix that one up a little -- I'd certainly C Angel, always would have. But if you threw Wesley in instead ... or god forbid, Gunn, then I'd be conflicted.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Even Emma didn't M Steed.

Well. Except in her last episode Mr. Peel was played by...

That FCM leaves me conflicted. Wash is the M, of course, but Steed is both so much less hot than Angel and so much more likely to leave one still breathing afterwards.

"My drink preference does not indicate my sexual preference. "

This makes me afraid there could be some
Jaffa flabotnum thing in 3,000 BC that gets
Original Recipe Tealc frozen in a sarcophagus
and thawed out just in time.

The way you said that, bring to mind the AU gang standing scared as a sarcophagus opens and Tealc sits up, Dracula style, before saying, "DanielJackson, do you happen to possess country fried chicken? I have not eaten in several thousand years and would appreciate the taste of Extra Crispy."

All is well that ends in pizza.

Tealc sits up, Dracula style, before saying, "DanielJackson, do you happen to possess country fried chicken? I have not eaten in several thousand years and would appreciate the taste of Extra Crispy."

"um, yeah. Well....We have KFC. Is that ok? it's kind of off the base a bit."

OTOH? Teal'c could say "I'd like a pint of stout, please."

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Are we talking S1 Buffy Angel, where he's sort of mysterious and romantic? Or late season Angel where he's cooing into a crib? 'Cause that makes a serious difference in the F vs. C for me. It's M Wash either way.

"My drink preference does not indicate my sexual preference. "

Heh. What if it's not Tealc in the sarcophagus? What if it's Original Recipe Jack? What would he say?

If I only had a brain...

I was thinking of Angel during S1-3, when he's primarily Buffy's consort.

Sadly, he reached the apex of his hotness in that period about the same time he took up the hobby of leaving dead bodies in tableaux for others to find. If I'm going to be involved in performance art, I'd prefer that the performance not be posthumous.
