Do I wish I was somebody else right now. Somebody not... married, not madly in love with a beautiful woman who can kill me with her pinkie!

Boxed Set, Vol. II: "It's a Cookbook...A Cookbook!!"

A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Any day now I expect him to call for the invention of a time machine so we can go back and destroy as unworthy all television shows that preceded whatever he's waxing rhapsodic about this week.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

I want to know what TV series the ancient Romans were creating. I bet they made bitchin' soap operas.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I heard there were a lot of vomitorium reality shows.

I think the just wrote gossipy (rather porny) poetry.

Dude. The Romans totally invented reality TV. Morituri te salutamus!

I've started thinking that it's a side-effect of advertising. Hype inflation. Things can't just be good, they have to be the best thing ever. So people make grand pronouncements when all they really mean is, "I liked it."

Just as annoying, for much the same reason: any variety of "even at its worst, it's still better than anything else on TV." Feh.

Vonnie, on Spooks:

I don't particularly want to post there.

Nor me: there isn't any good discussion there, it's just fic and some pretty half-assed recaps.

I have no opinion on these other shows. I'll watch Threshold when it's no longer opposite something I have more time invested in. Even though I like both Peter Dinklage and Carla Gugino a lot.

Carla Gugino! Karen Sisco! Sigh. Man, that was a good show. t mourns Karen Sisco and Keen Eddie and all the other cool shows lost to yesteryear

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

FWIW, Keen Eddie is out on DVD. I waas pissed when they cancelled that one. I thought for sure it would be a hit.

I think it could have been. Sure, it was wacky, but it was also a cop show, and people like those, don't they?

I'll get around to renting the dvds at some point. After I catch up with all the other stuff I have to watch, like Dead Like Me, Odyssey 5, and Jeremiah.

Odyssey 5! That's the show that's missing from my collection! Must rectify.
