People often don't recognize the symptoms of oxygen deprivation.
eta: So military pilots and astronauts are trained to recognize it. But even then, they sometimes don't.

Dude. Last week, Dualla specifically pointed out the oxygen life support systems. This is just like the time Kaylee was all, "Let's get a compression coil." Except that took a lot more episodes before it became relevant.
Did I mention I love this show? Like, I feel my loyalty to VM being tested. It's a good thing I'm not a part of the BSG fandom or anything. Is there a fandom? Is it crazy?
