Nup, never saw it in action--almost, when it was about to do over Centauri Prime. Did see one get destroyed though. It blowed up reeeeeeal good.

I kind of wondered about that, actually. You'd figure that something with enough firepower to blow up multiple planets would have exploded in a slightly more devastating way. Ah well... t handwaves it away as vacuum self-energy that doesn't exist until the weapon creates it for specific planet-busting use...

Very brief DragonCon celebrity report:
Adam Baldwin, Tricia Helfer, and Paul McGillion were all donating all or part of their proceeds to Hurricane Katrina victims, so I gave them all money, tried to politely thank them and explain why, and ended up crying each time. The crying decreased each time, though, so I completely blubbered on Tricia Helfer, who was wonderful and stood up and hugged me, even though I never actually mentioned that I watched the show and enjoyed her work. Adam Baldwin and Paul McGillion were also very kind. And hot. And I got to touch them both.
I never did get to a Battlestar Galactica panel, but my interest in that decreased when Jamie Bamber had to cancel. No licking for me, alas.
Crowds for the Firefly panels were insane. Hopefully this is a good sign.

Baltar is just a cigarette holder and a couple missed shaves away from twirling his moustache and cackling like a madman.
See, people keep describing Baltar as a villain, but I don't view him like that at all. I mean, he's not a white hat or anything, but I don't see him a moustache-twirler. I mostly agree with Strega on Baltar. He's definitely funny (and I laugh with him, not at him), and I also find him terribly interesting.

Cool beans! I have a handful of episodes on tape that I recorded 14 years ago, plus a couple of the movies recorded not-14 years ago. Haven't seen all the movies, though, so I'm also hoping they get a release ala the B5 Movie set.
I can't wait for these dvds to be released!! *bounce bounce bounce*
