She's terse. I can be terse. Once in flight school, I was laconic.

Boxed Set, Vol. II: "It's a Cookbook...A Cookbook!!"

A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Quick question which I'm sure was discussed in the last thread:

The Region 1 Peacekeeper Wars DVD -- Is it the "expanded version" that was promised at the time Sci-Fi aired the mini-series, or is it the same as what was aired?

All is well that ends in pizza.

Trivia about TPW from IMDB:

When Crichton is interrogated by the Eidolons and has to explain his predicament, he says he does it for the 89th time. This is a reference to Ben Browder's voice-over for the opening sequence of the 88 episodes of the Farscape series.

Hello, shiny new thread.

The downside of dl-ing the eps now becomes apparent to me. I've forgotten many of my impressions from specific shows by the time the talking happens. Well, it's a downside for me anyway.

But, mostly, just hi to the new thread.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

The Region 1 Peacekeeper Wars DVD -- Is it the "expanded version" that was promised at the time Sci-Fi aired the mini-series, or is it the same as what was aired?

I've watched mine, and I'm pretty sure there was nothing extra added to what originally aired. (The DVD has the typical DVD extras, but not extra scenes/footage that are put into the show a la LOTR EEs.)

So what ever happened to that expanded 4 hour version we were promised? Or did I make that up in a crack-addled dream?

Woe to the fucking wicked.

No. I remember that. So, unless we were smoking the same crack, it wasn't completely unfounded.

That's why I asked back when TPW came out on DVD. I read about the 4-hour version here, but I never saw an official item on it.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

My guess is that the producers' plan to include the additional footage fell through because of money. (DH was definitely told that the DVD would have all the deleted scenes in it, but that was before the show even aired, and so the information he was given was probably more hopeful than official.)

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Yeah, other people who were at con also remember Brian Henson saying something about additional scenes in the DVD. So I wasn't hallucinating.

I'm sad we didn't get them, because I think the story could have supported some more time to tell that story. Maybe in the future, after the syndication dollars start pouring in...

All is well that ends in pizza.

Besides it gives them a chance to come out with "The Complete Farscape" at some point in the future.
