She's terse. I can be terse. Once in flight school, I was laconic.

Boxed Set, Vol. II: "It's a Cookbook...A Cookbook!!"

A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

...so, hang on, Deadwood has Ian "Lovejoy" McShane playing a main role? Winning Golden Globes? WTF?

Wow.

All your acting jobs are belong to us, America!

All is well that ends in pizza.

No cable channel I get shows Lovejoy any longer. It's sad.

Battlestar Galactica S2, ep2.

I heart Kara, and the Chief, and Apollo VERY VERY VERY much. And I love the Laura-Lee (or indeed Laura/Lee) dynamic. And Billy, with Dee. Bless. Good Six. Good Gaius.

This show is so much better than SGA. I really enjoy SGA, but one doesn't take it seriously, and nor is one meant to. But, damn, this is a horse of a different colour.

And these modern day Cylons (as distinct from the lumbering shiny Cylons of yore, with their Snooty Leader)? Pretty fucking scary, actually.

Art Crawl!!!

BTW, is "Bastille Day" the last that we ever see of Boxy? I re-watched the mini yesterday, wondered what happened to him, searched, found a reference to him making a snotty remark to Tigh in "Bastille Day" - but cannot figure out what happened to him after that?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

In the commentaries, Moore said that they just haven't had time for Boxy's story. IIRC he left open the possibility of him appearing at some point.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I'd completely forgotten that the new show even had a Boxy.

Art Crawl!!!

He was one of the kids that Boomer and Helo save from Caprica. And they show him (at the end of the mini) - hanging out with Boomer and some others in the hangar. (One of the deleted scenes shows the Chief showing Boxy his new quarters with the pilots.)

smonster wrote a fab backstory ficlet off of "The Farm" [link]

Makes me retroactively like a scene that I wasn't so fond of on first watch. I love fic that does that. Go. Read.

Absolutely nothing beats watching SG-1, SGA, and BSG crammed into a hotel room with 27 other folks, mostly slashers, lots of alcohol, orange food, and chocolate.

Well, the only thing that would beat it is when the writers of SGA give you the slash on a frelling platter, causing the squees to be heard as far away as the Loop.

Oy.

Rodney and Zelenka were both flirting with Sheppard when they started telling him about the new weapon. And then there was the trust me scene, and the ohnoes we broke up scene...

This was way slashier than Duet.

Oh, and there were two excellent SGA vids during the Vividcon premieres show: one McKay/Sheppard set to "Hallelujah", and I forget the song used for the other, but it was lovely. Links forthcoming, I expect.
