"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

A drunk Rodney would be a highly amusing Rodney.

I can so get behind that.

'kay, who's going to point me to the fic?

Odd fandom overspill - I'm watching an episode of House with the girl who played Lilly Kane. And the girl who played the Genii would-be-ass-kicking chick was also in an episode of Veronica Mars.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Yay BSG! Although I wonder about Caprica!Boomer and the rest of the Caprica Cylons. Caprica!Boomer fucked over her fellow Cylons before. Then she goes back to them. Apparantly they trust her. Then she steals a Cylon ship and fucks them over again.

Kara did OK though. She violated orders and stole the Cylon Raider for her mission to get the arrow. Then she lost the Raider. But now she's coming back with a better Raider.

And I don't know what I think about Roslyn leading a third of the fleet back to Kobol. But at least there'll be someone there for Kara to meet.

Our wings are not tired.

Yay BSG!

I'll second that Yay! It was fine stuff. Adama had me choked up.

The humanly Cylons seem to have some humanly flaws. Boomer is quite wonderfully fracked up. Six not exactly mentally stable. I certainly would like to see more of the new doctor to see where his personality might be flawed. What fun.

Oh, did anyone find the scene between Adama and Chief Tyrell to be odd (in an interesting, not bad, way)? Adama asks Tyrell if he loved Boomer. Then Adama starts talking about the Cylons as if they are more human than machine. Then he says that Cally discharged her weapon without permission, endangering the crew. Notice he didn't mention that she had killed someone/something. Then he gives her a month in the brig - a slap on the wrist. Then he tells the Tyrell that he'll see Boomer again.

Also,

Get caught up on BSG with the first five episodes of Season Two in one night. — Tuesday, Aug. 16, at 9/8C

Oddly, DH was way more wigged by the farm than I was. But the same thing happened with The Handmaids Tale. I wonder if it is because it seems logical to me- as a step when ther population problems. Or if the guys I know that are wigged , it is because they are basicly supurfluous in these situations?

In the Ron Moore (exec producer, head writer) commentary, he said that many people were afraid that this episode would turn off women.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

The visit to Dead!Boomer was one of those actorly scenes that only a very good thespian can carry off -- hardly any dialogue, and crying is particularly hard not to feel forced or fake.

Maybe Adama is a renegade Cylon after all.... ::looks evil::

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

BSG was good but quite WTF-y, though I gave it the benefit of the doubt because I am nice.

Boomer leaves Caprica...to come right back! Starbuck is SO IN LOVE with Anders! Starbuck was abused as a child! Adama cries over Boomer's dead body! A third of the fleet jumps to Kobol, a planet WITH A CLEAR CYLON PRESENCE, COMPLETELY DEFENSELESS! Um, there's probably more.

(Cally is sentenced to the brig for FIVE SEASONS!)

Oddly, that doesn't bug me as much because of all the folks who worship Roslyn. I mean, why would prophecy lead them all to their deaths?
