It's martial law, right? I mean, even if the leader is a marshall, the type of law is martial, right? And how is it a campaign.
I went to the scifi site and read the description of the next episode. . . (I was actually trying to find out who the Anders actor is. . . but no luck there) -- no, I just got spoiled for something in that description that I wouldn't have guessed based on the promo.
Right, sumi. Military rule.
I think the campaign is to prevent the fracturing of the fleet (which we're seeing happen). Basically, to make people accept the governance of the military.
Yay! for not entirely spoily promos! (Sorry you got spoiled, though)

Yeah. Or, if you're a fan of
Sealab 2021,
it's Martian law....

or if you are me and you don't really think about what you are typing...
and I ment campaign ( really a bad choice of words) in the how you are going to make martial law work. You can declare it all ou want - but somehow you have to enforce it. and on scattered ships - really difficult. and the minute civillians are killed - why should they stay with BSG? It isn't safer. and maybe they'd be safer if they scattered.
I think that Tigh was acting out of despair and distrust and has no plan to go forward. He's pretty darn lucky that Adama came out of it. . . even if it's too late.
BTW, I saw this mentioned over on TWOP and it was something I missed (no doubt because I've never watched the old Series) -- that scene when Roslin and her band of merry men arrive wherever and are greeted by Zarek, Roslin says something about "Capt. Apollo" while both Zarek and Apollo are on screen. I just thought it was kind of an annoying mistake on her part (because Apollo is his call sign, not his name) but she says, "Apollo" while both Apollos are on-screen and while Zarek is in her sightline.

She always calls him that. In the miniseriers she says that Apollo is more catchy than Lee (after Lee tries to correct her).
Well, she could just call him Apollo.
sumi, I saw that, too. It just seemed odd at the time, because she was looking at Zarek when she said it.
Why it sucks to be a Cylon sleeper agent:
"I have something to tell you... It's just not working out. I'm leaving you, Bob."
"It's because you think I'm a Cylon, isn't it?"
"No, Bob, that's not it at all. It's not you... it's me. I... just don't know what I want. I'm sorry, Bob. But hey, we had some good times, right? I mean, I love that glowy thing you do with your spine."
... or...
"It was a very difficult decision - you and Mr. Stevens are both very highly qualified candidates. But after much discussion we decided to give the position to someone who's
not
devoted to the destruction of the human race."
