In a sense, the fall of the Gou'ald is like the South during Reconstruction, or the end of the Soviet Union, with the reorganization of just about everything and upsets all around -- Jaffa out of jobs, even. It does make sense that not every one was suited to be a soldier/high priest -- surely some of them just wanted to be dentists, or really didn't like uniforms, or eyeliner.

A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
Somewhere there must be a planet of misfit Jaffa.
Aww! Like, there's the clumsy Jaffa, and the Jaffa who uses contractions, and...
...which reminds me, something I like about Ronon? I'm pretty sure he uses contractions. He doesn't speak Overformal Stargate Alienspeak! Very exciting.
How much did I love Vala curling a limp pinky at the secretary and winking?
Thiiiis much.
Not so much a performance based on realism, but always fun to watch.
How much did I love Vala curling a limp pinky at the secretary and winking?
Yeah, I saw that, but didn't get the reference. Help?
She was implying that the Senator had a pinky-sized penis.
BWAH!
What I want to know is how did General Baker Boy NOT see that coming from the minute he suggested she should speak to the appropriations committee—did he have a stroke and forget every previous conversation with Vala that he'd been a party to?
I know, right? Couldn't she have been kept out in the hall or something? It's not like she and Daniel have to be holding hands in order to keep from collapsing.
Yup. Agreed, agreed. She should have been out in the hall under armed guard.
