Just don't ask me the Sondheim questions, as I shall "pretend" not to know the answers.

In the scene where he gets a name, he says, "this is doctor ZELenka, Doctor Weir," and she turns around and calls him "ZeLENka", and so does everyone else from then on.
...hmm. That's weird. The actor is Czech - well, left Prague when he was still a wee lad, but given that he's been back and lived in Prague, and his parents speak Czech, it's reasonable to posit that he's got at least a nodding acquaintance with the language. So his pronunciation should be right. Right?
I should know this. I lived in Czech Republic for a year and I worked for a Czech company, mostly with Czechs, for 2 years. And yet now they both look right.

Also? Yes, Aeryn could break Teyla in a matter of seconds. It's like Sauron V Voldemort - not even worth betting on.
Aeryn could kick Teyla's ass around the block while flossing her own teeth.

I would think so. My friend who lived in Prague for years would know. Next time I see her about online, I'll have to ask. If I remember.
See, ZelENka seems okay to me. I'm trying to remember whether the emphasis goes on the penultimate syllable or the third-from-last syllable, and it's going my head in that I don't know. Shame on me. I try to remember a sentence, and it comes out half-Czech and half-Arabic.
Am twit.

It's Martina NaVRATalova, not NavrataLOva, I think. Hmm. Iva BITova. JAroslav.
Yeah, I guess it should be ZElenka.
Oh, come on.
The mcguffin is gone. It can't still be working.

The mcguffin is gone. It can't still be working.DX, is SG-1 going to be watch and snark when it gets to this coast? Because I should really pick up some beer on the way home if it is.
Cass, the early indications are favorable. Besides, you can never have enough beer.
Remember, a nuclear war can ruin your day, but running out of beer can ruin the whole weekend.
OMGWTFVEZZINI!
NotVezzini: "It's highly...unlikely."
Oh? Perhaps it's just short of... inconceivable?
