Sooner or later, you're gonna want it. And the second — the second — that happens, you know I'll be there. I'll slip in, have myself a real good day.

Thrive to spite them

I thought the last time we saw Bates he was in a medically induced coma because he was beaten so severely by a Wraith (?), it was right after he and Teyla came to blows.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Just finished watching the first two new SG-1 eps. It's official, I'm sucked back in. I'd kind of dropped this show, but damn, that was good. (Also looking forward to seeing some of the fic that is no doubt already out there.) I'm also reminded that I keep meaning to rent or otherwise aquire some Farscape dvds.

Now off to watch the Atlantis eps.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I thought it was fascinating (and kind of weird) that all the senior Atlantis staff went back to Earth, leaving Teyla, Bates, and Zelenka in charge.

Yeah, that was a necessary handwave. Even worse was my yelp of outrage when I thought they were going to completely skip over the return to Earth. I'm so spoiled by fic.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

Was Bates the guy they sent through the gate to hold Atlantis until the Daedelus arrived?

Bates is the mighty good looking but often crotchety sgt. with whom Teyla, in particular, does not get along. Or, more accurately, he does not get along with or trust Teyla much.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I discovered that the lovely Philip Glass piano piece played in Kara's appartment was actually composed by Glass for that episode. Crap. That means I'll have to wait for the season 2 soudtrack to get a copy of that.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Really? Someone was saying it was "Metamorphosis One."

Yeah, that's it.

My iBook locked up and now I can't find the link where I read that.

No, really.

Oh yeah, I found that. Was trying to figure out where I got the wrong info from: [link] (interview of BSG composer Bear McCreary - interesting).

I misinterpreted the following:

Bear: It's still pretty early to say. Season Two features the first piece of music written by someone other than me or Richard (or Stu Phillips' original BSG theme). I performed a solo piano piece composed by Phillip Glass for episode 02. Should be interesting.
