A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

No, it won't be good, but it might be fun.

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

Vonnie, have you read that story of Speranza's?

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

I'm a dS fic virgin. I know, I know. I've heard it has the best gold-to-dross ratio in any fandom. I just want to watch the show first before diving into fic, and I haven't even seen any RayK episode yet. (I did go ahead and buy myself dS season 3 DVD though, so I'll get to it soonish. Yay!) I might be mistaken, but don't Speranza and Kat Allison and most other active dS writers primarily write Fraser/RayK?

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

Yeah. And you have plans to watch the rest of the show. Excellent. (Although I adore Ray Vecchio.)

Remind me to remind you about that Speranza story later.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

I'll remind myself to remind you to remind me.

I do love Vecchio. Not sure about how I feel about Inspector Thatcher though. I like Camilla Scott well enough, but she's got the sort of irritating Sorkinesque neurotic mannerisms. Reminds of of Dana in her not-so-great moments some times. (The Sports Night Dana, not our Dana.)

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Although I adore Ray Vecchio

Oh good! Everybody's always so pro-RayK. I know there was chemistry and hottitude, but I really enjoyed the first two seasons. A lot. And this is purely my own issue and I never (hardly ever) bring it up because I really don't want at all to start a RayK vs. RayV thing. At all. Really.

It's just nice to see somebody else have a nice word for RayV.

If I only had a brain...

Thoughts as I wait, claws bared, for my Farscape Season 2 DVDs to show up:

  • Crichton is disturbingly hot as a Peacekeeper, cold and arrogant and authoritative. Very disturbing.
Aeryn probably just thought he was a git.
  • According to the commentary I read, Crais's increasingly disheveled
hair was on purpose, as his character slowly fell apart.
  • Scorpius's chin bra? Still silly.
  • Still love Crichton kissing Rygel. Lots.
  • Does Scorpius get scarier? Because, chin bra.
  • Peacekeeper Barbie! Snerk. I kept thinking "You know, I'm sure I
can see that outfit at any Goth club, any night."
  • I was listening to commentary this morning, and I loved Black's
comment that they ADR everything nowadays, because the leather squeaks. And chafes, too, eh?
  • One of the best non-Joss commentaries I've ever heard is the entire Farscape gang ragging on "Jeremiah Crichton" in general. Beard abuse, plot abuse, effects abuse... excellent!

I know there was chemistry and hottitude, but I really enjoyed the first two seasons.

God knows I love the fic that came out of the later seasons, and CKR yum, but I think it was a better show in the first two seasons, and I happily tell that to anyone who asks.

Does Scorpius get scarier?

Among other things.
