Boxed Set, Vol. II: "It's a Cookbook...A Cookbook!!"

A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

In the seventies, Marvel Comics started using "spit" in place of "shit," leading to wonderful phrase "I'm scared spitless." Ah, the comics code.

See that one almost works (fear causing dry mouth and all), but you start exploring other options like "you're full of spit", "spithead", "bullspit" or "eat spit and die", and it gets frelling hilarious.

I do believe in killing the messenger, you know why? Because it sends a message. ~ Damon Salvatore

Probably frell. But I don't use it, really. I like ruttin', but that's not made up. I'm wondering if frak will slip in. Mostly I just use the curse words I grew up with (and was never allowed to use at home).

Sorry! Can't be helped.

I know, I know. Had to say it, though.

Did someone COMM the Betsy and daughter exchange? I bet someone did. I'm going to check anyway... yeah, thought so.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Chicago Tribune (free login required) interview of some of the cast of BSG, followed by the writers giving answers to reader-submitted questions: [link]

Somewhat spoilery, in that each actor talks about the direction their character will take for season two. Nothing major, IMHO. For example, Edward James Olmos talks about how being shot will affect his character for season two.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

I say, "No frackin' way, Lee!" all the time. And I use frell a lot, ruttin' once in a while. Also, "dong ma?" when what I'm asking is, "Are you out of your mind? Did I hear you correctly?" Which, now that I think about it is probably incorrect usage because it's more, "Ya know what I mean?" isn't it?

And I walk away and leave the reader to figure out the punctuation in that "sentence."

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

I know, I know. Had to say it, though.

It's nice to be missed.

Compassionately intolerant

I use frak! pretty much every day. And, for some inexplicable reason fruit!, which seems very Ticklike to me.
