oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

Andi thought it was creepy.

very creepy. call and response parts of religious services have always bothered me. Wehn the minister at my parents church started doing it more, my father had a discussion with the minister. It made my father uncomfortable because it invovles no thought. and I think that is why it has always bugged me. I hate repeating things or saying things that I want to disagree with one tiny part of - but there isn't room for a change. anyway - I agree with creepy.

Guy #1: Man, there are so many hipsters around. I hate hipsters! Guy #2: You're at the wrong place. That's like going to Vegas only to say "I hate titties!" --The Warsaw, Williamsburg (OINY)

I was annoyed with the "NEW GUY!" anvils for about the first 20 minutes, but then the writing got to me. Loved this exchange: "so, can you read these symbols?" (long pause, scornful look) "No." Every time I look at Christopher Judge I can't help but think of how goofy he is in all the specials/behind the scene stuff. "Indeed" never gets old for me.

I never really got into Farscape, watched some of the first season and then quit - plus don't think BB is that hot, but I loved his McKay-style freakout after Teal'c totally OOC and bizarrely pointless assassination of that helpless wall. That made me sit up and take notice. Nala irritated me last season but I liked her in this ep. She's almost a Jossverse-type character in how she's so rude and duplicitous but oversensitive if someone slights her - kinda like Jayne. Plus it's always fun to watch Daniel get tortured. When did they sleep together though? One of the few things I liked about her previous ep was that (I thought, anyway) that they DIDN'T sleep together.

SGAquarium was much better though IMHO - Gods, how I've missed my McKay. And more Ho!Yay than you could shake a stick at. And thanks TPTB for the lovely MP! He's perfect, yummmmmmm, you shouldn't have.

OK quick game of f, c, m with the men of SGA:

I'd say f Shep, c Ford and m McKay (or maybe Zelenka so McKay and Sheppard can be together OMGtheirloveissopure).

ETA that little aside between McKay and Zelenka about how "someone" had to wake him up was straight outta fic.

I don't necessarily connect so say we all with religion on the show. Adama (avowedly non-religious) used it to great effect when he was trying to rally the suvivors at the end of the mini. It seems like a rallying cry, but not specifically religious. Though, could be used in various circumstances. Almost, a "Can I get a Hell, yeah??" only more formal.

But it definitly does have that don't think just agree aspect, which makes sense for a rally cry, I guess.

Our wings are not tired.

I love Tigh

This episode brought out my Tigh love. Previously not so much.

SG1 and BSG were very satisfying. I have a hard time getting into that fishy one. I watch and enjoy moments, but if I have something to do that is the time to leave the room.

The "so say we all" didn't ping me as religious but very military.

Our wings are not tired.

Ben did seem very Chriton (no matter how I spell it, it looks wrong, but too early and lazy to figure it out) like to me, but that didn't bother me because of the love. Claudia was lovely in her goofiness.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Watching the two of them play characters who are not only not interested in each other now, but who will almost certainly never be interested in each other (which I'm sure was deliberate) was odd. Not bad, just odd.

I can't get a handle on BB's character. Right now, he's reading to me like Chricton, if Chricton were very, very tired all the time.

And I finally watched SG-A tonight for the first time (I didn't bother watching it on the preview DVD because I wasn't really interested in the SGverse), and damn! It's actually pretty good! At least this ep, to a new fan, was much better than SG-1. And it amuses me to no end that Assistant Director Skinner is playing Captain Picard. (Only in the sense of "bald actor I really like playing the captain of a ship with shields and transporter beams," but still.)

There's a very good article on BSG in this week's NYTimes Magazine. (Subscribers got it today, it'll be online tomorrow, if someone reminds me to link to it.)

Thrive to spite them

I was worried about SGA and how they were going to deal with the Wraith and come out alive, really worried that the Dadelus would blow them up and that would be it. But it turned out great, loved that they just tricked them.

The Dadelus crew was really good, I liked ....what's her name working with the Asgard. The "he's not happy about this" and then when she rushed over to a control and shoved someone out of the way hurling the chair into another control panel.

Loved Mckay's "What ? Are you union?"

I'm not sure how I like Ford's storyline. And how could he fly the jumper? He's never been able to before.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

I'm not sure how I like Ford's storyline. And how could he fly the jumper? He's never been able to before.

I didn't like Ford's storyline at all. How come he got a full dose of the enzyme while the Marine colonel didn't? They were both being lifesucked when their attackers were killed.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Are last night's episodes of SG1, SGA, and BSG going to be repeated on any particular date/time?

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

I can't believe nobody mentioned the look exchanged and the flutter-wink Vala gave Cameron on the line "I'm pregnant. And there's a one-in-ten chance it's yours." to Daniel.

I miss the longer "previouslies" on BSG to the non-vocal music, followed by clips from the episode to the drums. I like the drums, and I like seeing hints of what's to come. I like the chief taking charge of the crashed crew on Kobol, too. And they included a clip of him in the "hot men of BSG" on the behind-the-scenes show. And speaking of that inside-the show, how much do I love how easily Tricia Helfer slips into Six's persona-voice? And how round Callis' eyes got and how his body language stilled when she did?
