A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
I finally downloaded the Stargate to Atlantis thing I can't wait to watch it.
For the life of me I can't figure out why I decided that SGA just wasn't interesting. I mean all the characters are great. Rodney all geeky and pissy and then totally missing whatshername was interested. Frod kicking ass after getting hit with the tranq. Teyla whipping out her knife and kicking ass. Sheppard with his plan and the numbers thing.
Hewlett is (I think) equally lust-worthy, but in a much more unconventional way.
Mm. I am perfectly capable of crushing on many people and characters simultaneously. (And now that I've seen all of Samurai Champloo, I must admit that I'm still completely giggling-like-a-moron in love with Jin. OMG LOVE.)
Who is Browder's wife?
Francesca Buller. She is adorable and wee and loved the leather pants, and would watch Farscape DVDs when she missed her husband. And she played some great guest characters on Farscape.
I think it's because you have to like the characters to like the stand-alone episodes. Once they started ramping up the arc (and once shalott started writing fic), I was completely into the show, and the earlier episodes worked a lot better for me.
Livia Penn, meanwhile, has been having a grand old time catching up on episodes that she missed. Her LJ reviews are deeply funny. Like this one.
Sheppard: "McKay, we need more weapons, big ones."
Rodney: (mutters) "Your *mom* has big ones."
Sheppard: "Hey, come on! What's that supposed to mean!"
Ford: "Well, I guess your mom would know, sir."
is the Sci-Fi channel promo special being repeated?
No idea. I have it on DVD, for fandom is a wonderful place.
Edited to say, um, if that's what you were referring to, of course.
God bless them all. Except Teyla. She's still a cardboard mockery of noble warrior woman to me. At least Teal'c was funny and emotional while stoic. She's not even stoic, but she's bland.
Sci-Fi's running some special tonight about the premiering Friday line-up, aren't they?
Thanks so much, Dana, for that link to Livia's SGA entry.
Teyla: "SHUT UP! SHUT UP!!! I WILL DIVE OUT OF THIS JUMPER INTO THE SEA!! SERIOUSLY!!!"
t wipes tears of laughter

REALLY?! how did i not know this?

Had I been your lawyer, I would have adviced you to plead temporary insanity or at least say you had eaten too many twinkies.
"The Man With the Screaming Brain."
Bruce Campbell's directorial debut, FYI. He also stars, natch. Should make for amusing viewing (they had - or are going to, I disremember - a midnight show of it at the Coolidge Corner theater).
