You're wrong about River. River's not on the ship. They didn't want her here, but she couldn't make herself leave. So she melted... Melted away. They didn't know she could do that, but she did.

Boxed Set, Vol. II: "It's a Cookbook...A Cookbook!!"

A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

I didn't mean to give the impression that I just needed enough encouragement to get me to go. My dad and I have been working on a plan -- I just don't think September is going to work.

Lurching from one disaster to the next.

I'm not sure where else to mention this but David Boreanaz will apparently be co-starring in a new TV series called Bones. It's based on the books by Kathy Reichs (who gets a producing credit). Emily Dooschanel (sic? --Zoey's sister) plays "Dr Temperance Brennan" but that seems to be the only regular character from her books. Boreanaz plays a "Special Agent" but his character isn't in any of the novels that I've read.

I mention this b/c BitMeTV.org has a torrent of a preview copy of the first episode--the airing date is not until September.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

One of my favorite Teen Titan episodes is on right now.

That one's great!

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Lalala, have only seen the Dr. Who pilot.

There's something very weird going on there. A difference between going backwards and going forwards? It seems unlikely, but it's possible that at some point in the future they would (even unknowingly) close the loop on 2010.

I don't see how, given that, to do that, they would have to undo what was done, and then, no more people!

Would you like to expand on the Trek examples, too? My knowledge of that canon is much patchier, but I'd be interested to hear the theory anyway.

I was just saying that I bet there are both flavors, as I know there have been several time travel eps. I have limited Trek knowledge, as well.

Err... brain whirrs madly why, so they would. I think. I'm not clever enough for this!

Okay. I just wondered if you had any specific examples-- I've seen some of the time travel eps, so I might just about follow a discussion, but I couldn't start one.

So I watched the last Dr. Who. Waaaah! Nooo! I don't care about this David Tennant character, I want Eccleston back! Waaaah!

Oh well. You all seem to like him so that's something, I suppose. Still.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I totally agree with you, Emily. It was too sudden. There wasn't enough time.

Conservative, n. A statesman who is enamored of existing evils, as distinguished from the Liberal, who wishes to replace them with others. -Bierce

The series has made the usual BBC rumblings about wanting a movie a little more credible, and maybe we would get him back for that. Then we could have the time war and more of Eccleston. 'Cause he was very good.

As a longtime fan I am used to living in a haze of vague hopes.

Oh, that would be nice. He was lovely. I'm a little bit concerned about the youth.

I have the S1 BSG music CD; it is lovely.

I also just finished reading an essay on the music of Firefly in the Serenity blah, blah, can't remember the title book. It reminded me how much I wish I had a Firefly music CD. My insane hope is that they'll release some show music with the movie soundtrack (which I just assume they'll release... is that a lame assumption? No, don't tell me.)

One season of CE as Dr. Who - I am thrilled beyond belief to have had it but so very sad it was only one season. So very sad.

I don't know that that needed whitefont, but err, caution, side.
