There was a very funny story -- Sentinel I think -- about lube issues, and was inspired by a tale of cooking spray being used for lube.
Since alchohol is a big component of cooking spray, all I can say is OUCH!

A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Same here; I've known Darth Vader had lava-pit issues as long as I've known he was Luke's father.

I have to give a golf clap to a fic writer I recently read who used sunscreen for just such a purpose. It made sense as something people would logically have near at hand, and bonus points for a character commenting "that's gonna sting!"
I am kind of mad that you spoiled me for RoTS with your tag.
Damn, I'm so sorry.
But I'm also much, much stupider than the rest of the world, because I didn't even give a moment's thought to the implications of the quotation, beyond the fact that it made me laugh. Um. I hadn't seen the movie myself at the time that I chose it for a tag, and when I did see the movie I wasn't actually expecting the implied scene. It's only reading your response that I've gone "Huh. Oh yeah, I should've been expecting that..."
Which just goes to show how uninterested I was in what was going to happen plotwise, I suppose. Um. Or that I'm actually the world's biggest bimbo. Or that the whole merit sticker thing just struck me as immensely funny.
Will change tag.
The tag didn't spoil me, but this conversation...
No worries though.
as far as I knew it was pretty common knowledge, at least among fandom.
I had no idea! And here I thought I was Missy Insider because a friend of mine had the Star Wars screensaver pack for her computer (circa 1997). That was where I found out about the redshirt friend from Tattooine, and a number of bizarro factoids from early versions of the Star Wars script, scrolling vertically.
(The best one was one where your screen would just be normal, and then suddenly, DARTH VADER CLOSEUP!! and then would go back to normal for another couple of minutes. Beat the jawas-steal-aspects-of-your-desktop hands down.)

I heard about it when I was a kid, but I forget where. I did read some conjecture a few years ago, wondering if it would really happen that way. The gist of it was that a lot of fans were going to be very dissapointed if it didn't.

Yup. I remember hearing it early on. It may have been in the novelization of the original movie.
Fic announcement: Atavistic Pie, Teyla after the Siege, Part II. Rated teen for ooky images.
