A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
I got my Farscape mini-comm cloisonné pins, and they are very pretty
I'm only the most haphazard of would-be viewers, and yet I
crave
these pins. 'Specially the ones that are modelled on the Peacekeeper logo and the communicator. They're gorgeous.
Also, I find myself
highly
entertained by the prospect of meeting Emily's dad. Whom, granted, I'd have the most sheepish of conversations with. "Hello! Yes, I really
am
wearing a very large hat. No, it's not for a joke....um. ...So, I just
love
your daughter's sexy sexy writing about charcters in popular telly. Also, I fancy her spicy brains. Hello? Hello? Come back! We haven't even seen the pyramids yet!"
...although I suppose it's the ideal place for someone to be in de Nile. Heh.
Those are the two I bought! (I actually bought comms for my kids as well. My son thought it was really cool. My daughter said her mom was the biggest geek of all time.)
For Stargate fans (I think):
Undress Rodney McKay.

It's a Flash animation. Wait till you get home. Then mail me the answers.
Oh, that's
fabulous.
Also (and here's a cringe-inducing confession) it's a damned fine teaching tool. Um. The game. Because I now know a number of things about Rodney McKay
despite
never having seen the damn show, 'cause I was motivated to keep trying guesses until I won, and every time I lost I had to go back to the start.
...what does it say about me that now I'm trying to figure out how I can adapt that to make a useful Math/Humanities/Science-teaching game? Not so much with the Nekkid Boy Pictures, obviously, but maybe with, erm, housepoints? Or something that would be appropriately motivation-y?
Hmm.
It's not the inappropriateness so much as that I'm not sufficiently interested in nekkid!McKay to care. Which is odd, cause I'm reading the slash, but that's because people like Shalott and Dana are writing it. If great writers were writing Shep/Zelenka, I'd be reading that instead.
sigh
I'm going to have to get SG:A on DVD, aren't I? Along with
Hornblower
and
Dead Like Me
and Season 2 of
Carnivale,
and the Miniseries of
Battlestar Galactica.
So. Taps fingers. Those who want to introduce us to this fandom could provide hints.
For instance:
apparently he's allergic to citrus and plays the piano and was tortured with a knife.
