Timed writing is usually a good thing. Of course, it's usually small bits, like ten minutes, but if you just *write* and don't worry about what you put down, at least you have something to work with.

It's true, I found that the rules for essay collections and non-fiction in general were sort of "wing it".
Some of the writing I've been most proud of came out of freewriting exercises. But so far my NaNo sucks so unbelievably bad. Or does that mean it sucks well? It's so good at sucking, I tell you what.

snort. My characters are mucking out stalls. I think porn in space sounds a lot more engaging. Unfotunately my main character is twelve. Maybe it's time for a look into her future.

Yesterday was like pulling teeth,but I made my quota before faling asleep. My concept is what was going on while Sleeping Beauty was out for that 100 years. I have two charcters and no plot so far, but at least I know how it ends.

My roommate's going to laugh at me when he sees me using percentile dice to help me decide what my characters do.
Question - does anybody know of any websites with letters on? I mean, written letters between people, I presume there have to be some 'classic' ones out there.
