Yep - it's September, and they're beginning to trickle back into their offices.
Only slightly on topic - actually, only slightly off topic - can I squee and jump and gloat?
I got an email from the San Francisco Art Exchange (this was after dumping my 30-year-old Cloak of Invisibility last night). I'm on the guest list for the VIP party that's opening the following:
The Long and Winding Road: Original photography of The Beatles — before, during and after the 1960’s!
The San Francisco Art Exchange LLC is excited and proud to announce the most powerful and comprehensive exhibition of original, hand signed Beatle photography ever compiled anywhere in the world! This exclusive showing of over 100 iconic images will begin on Thursday September 14, 2006, with a very special reception for clients and friends of the gallery to be enjoyed on the evening of Saturday September 16, 2006 from 7pm till 10pm.
You are invited.
Featuring the work of more than twenty renowned Beatle photographers, this landmark exhibit will cover every key period in the Beatles’ history, from the 1950s till now! From the most famous of Beatles imagery to the most rare, this show will highlight the amazing artistry, charisma, cultural influence and historical import of the most famous and beloved rock group of all time. This will be an event that every Beatle fan in the world will want to experience in person, and for collectors, the show will offer incredible opportunities to own iconic and highly collectable, original, hand-signed photography of the Beatles in every stage of their influential and precedent-setting careers.
Etc. I am salivating. Rang her up and discovered I'm on the guest list with a plus one. I'm-a taking Michelle McFee.
Reason it's on topic is, when I rang her back? (Deep breath) She asked if I'd like to be on the guest list for the party for Ronnie Wood's next exhibit - and he always flies in.
So I can pimp for a Kinkaids blurb, mano a, er, womano.
MEEP.
(oh, and she sent me a jpeg for an incredible shot of Nicky: studio shot, him done up as Wyatt Earp, taken by Bill Wyman. Laughing like a drain...)
