You always think harder is better. Maybe next time I patrol, I should carry bricks and use a stake made out of butter.

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

You know, apart from the Golden Bough, I honestly don't remember where and how I learned what I know about the mythology for that half of my family history? I mean, I read the GB as a teenager, but the stories, jack in the Green, all that, it was just always there. So, probably heard rather than read.

Erin, not entirely off-topic, but Laura Anne Gilman has, like 500 books, and enthusiastic about sending them to you. I'll be send her your info.

And addendum:

Erika, babe, I am loads impressed, humbled and grateful to ALL who send me books, be it one or one hundred thousand.

It's not the quantity, it's the giving a flying fuck. Or a spinning fuck, dollface! ;)

Erin, she moved to smaller quarters in a different state recently, and when I told her what the books were for, she bounced.

We roomed together at WorldCon so I got to hold hand on the move and she got to hold mine on the piano/waiting/other stuff.

Didn't realise you were a fan - want me to hook you up?

Oh! And mememe moment, Nice!Shared with Allyson!Agent read WMGGW, and loves it. Suggested tweaks were minimal and mostly already done, since I'd already been tweaking.

I'm proud to share an agent with Allyson, too.

Oh, my, would you? I hate to presume on friendship, but I am a total whore.

I try to be a HUMBLE whore, though.

And with the addy, please let her know I can get a tax letter, and if she sends an email addy or snail mail, I'll take pix and she (with other Library Patronesses) can get a nifty thank you card.

No problem at all. Let me get home first (that's tomorrow night) and Bob'll be your uncle.

LA's very cool. Ask erika, who greeted her (as per my suggestion) with "Moo, motherfucker!" (Yes, there's a story in there.)

Wondeful! Esp. since I have spent all my birthday money on books on teaching and...um...lattes.

I'm very weak at 7 a.m. on a school morning.

EDIT: And apparently, I don't have enough money to buy an "r".

WondeRful. Gah.
