It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

Dude, come up with a name for it, and I'm there. We can get ND to do the sound - I'm thinking there would be a lot of subtle undertones, based on the sound of hair being torn out.

Insent, Deb. It's prelim -- just names -- I have to dig a bit for addresses and such, because I am just that disorganized.

Thanks, bebe, and backflung. Can you give me an intro?

If I'm going to agent-hunt, I should do it now. Because I am seriously very close to just putting down the pen and walking away again.

Maybe Nic will talk me out of it. I'm just really exhausted and not up for coping. The number of things this affects is just...

Well, hell, the email I sent requesting clarification speaks for itself:

1. The New-Slain Knight proposal to SMP. That proposal went to Ruth Cavin at Minotaur through BBLA initially; that being so, the book, should I decide to completeand submit it, would be your project of record. Since you are no longer handling anything of mine, I am unclear as to how to proceed. If I continue working and submit this, either on my own or through a different agent, how would the details of such a deal (e.g., financial and structuring) be handled?

2. I recently sent Marlene a package of books and fliers, at her request, to be sent to NAL for consideration of the Haunted Ballads as a paperback deal. If they have been sent out already, please let me know; if they haven't, I would appreciate the return of those books at your earliest convenience.

3. Since I will be at WorldCon and will undoubtedly see Beth Meacham there, I am at a loss as to what to tell her. Since she has not only the Kinkaids but Still Life With Devils as well, this places me in an untenable position. Basically, if she decides she wants one or the other, are you the agents of record for this? Should I decide to seek other representation, how does your early participation affect that?

4. Since you are in touch, or have been in touch, with Solaris in the UK in re the possibility of a reissue of Plainsong in the UK, what happens if they decide they do want to reissue it?

Fun. No, really.

N.B.-- And the next time you decide to cornhole me, please give me a little warning...and a squeeze of KY.
