Question: Will hiding in a cavern with stockpiled chocolate goods be any part of this plan?

Always Anti-fascist!

Aw...making my little feedback fiending heart glad today. That's what happens when you mix a. life. b. Dreams. and that song about god on a bus. Oh, and a mother that will say "Robert McNamara" like a vile curse. As a kid, I'd have put him at Hitler's right hand...I'm not kidding. Liberals do too have bad guys.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

meanwhile, is anyone reasonably familiar with kids' books? I'm thinking Lemony Snicket, Alex Ryder, Diana Wynne Jones, Harry Potter -that kind of 11/12 year old stuff, maybe? Because I'm going to need a beta reader for the kids' book (now with added swashbuckling) fairly soon, just to have a look at how it's starting out. Feisty kids, swashbuckling, libraries, buried treasure, peril, possibly magic, all that jazz...?

Raises hand

I LOVE that sort of stuff, and read lots of it. I would be delighted to be a beta reader for you.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Fay, I don't know how many beta readers you need, but I do read a lot of children's and young adult books. I think of them and mysteries as the last bastions of the plot. It is possible that they are just the last bastions of plots I can follow, but I try not to think about that. I've been reading "kids, buried treasure and magic" books since I was tiny E. Nesbit reader.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Fay, I'd be happy to help out if you still need it. I love children's lit and still read it frequently.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Huzzah! So I should really get on with writing, rather than brainstorming, yes?

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Fay! Another hand up over here. If you please, miss.

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

Psst, Teppy, you have birthday greetings elsewhere....
