If anyone's interested, a couple of Buffy fanfic authors have started there own e-publishing website, Linden Bay Romance, for romantic novels. The page for submissions can be found here.
The Great Write Way, Chapter Two: Twice upon a time...
A place for Buffistas to discuss, beta and otherwise deal and dish on their non-fan fiction projects.
OK, I need a reason for a smart character not to pay attention to a trap besides walking into it being hella climactic for me, God The Author.
Massive psychological blindspot? Overthinking X plot development so that he stumbles in to Y? Actual physical stumbling? being betrayed/lied to?
Or my favorite, knowing a trap is a trap and springing it to learn more about one's enemy.
She's feeling bad, too. Like saying the wrong thing got somebody killed.
erika, a distraction? Something not too Hand of God coincidental stakes a claim on her attention?
Alternately, my favourite reason: pure hubris. After all, even the meekest have some, and it usually does show up at the worst possible time.
She lusts in her heart a lot. Not that that is a problem for me whatsoever(see, dodging avatar questions already...this must be for real)
If it's Monday, it must be drabble time!
Challenge #49 (the photos from Look At Me) is now closed. But you can expect a return of that topic (with different photos), since everyone seemed to love it, and it resulted in such excellent drabbles.
Challenge #50 is in the spirit of "Show; Don't Tell": portray a person by describing the belongings in his/her wallet, desk drawers, kitchen cabinets, car trunk -- you name it. The person can be a fictional character of your OWN (please no Buffy, Klinger, Batman, etc.), or a real person. Up to you.
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
I have a page in the St. Martins Minotaur fall catalogue, and the best cover ever!
Yes, that is your best cover ever. Good!
Deb, that is GORGEOUS!!! Didn't you say that Matty Groves was "spookier" than Weaver or Famous Flower? The cover definitely gives that feel.
