That's wonderful, Allyson! I'm so excited for you.
The Great Write Way, Chapter Two: Twice upon a time...
A place for Buffistas to discuss, beta and otherwise deal and dish on their non-fan fiction projects.
I was completely not surprised, though.
Woohoo, Allyson!
Nope. No surprise over here, either.
Woooooot Allyson!
YAAAAAAY Allyson!
And yay for my sister, who gets to be your agent!
And ... one more thing ... I just have to say that this is karma in action. You have helped so many of us, and me more than most, that I'm glad to see the universe paying you back some. :-)
omigod, I havent spoken to her, because right now, i sound like a loon. I'm giddy, and i can't stop laughing and i can't focus. i also can't capitalize anything.
ETA: I did email and say something to the effect of being so thrilled i was too incoherent to discuss it, so we should schedule a talk.
Which i hope wasn't more spazerific than just trying to chill and pretending to be cool.
Allyson, from all the advice I've ever been given, that's the perfect thing to say to an editor or agent (ESPECIALLY an editor, but works for agents too), because you don't want to make long-term business decisions when you're all "OMG! OMG! Somebody likes my book! I'm gonna be an AUTHOR!"
IOW, I'm sure they're all used to that type of response, and it just makes you look sensible and responsible.
YAYYYY!!!!!!
Congratulations Allyson!!!!
Woohoo! WAY TO GO, ALLYSON!!!
