Yay!
Nic just sent me an interesting linkg about a a new withdrwal wonder drug. Not useful for me in terms of the book, I don't think, but fascinating stuff and maybe useful if there are more in this series.

Actually, how long should "Tore Up Over You" run? As as .wav file, it's 12 minutes, and as an mp3, it's 2 minutes. Something is weird. Though at least I got it to convert this time.
t edit I'm assuming 12, rather than 2, given the lengths of the other songs.
t edit again No -- the .wav just cut off after 2 minutes. This is maddening.
DAMN it. Bizarro-land, and it's one of the best songs in the set, and yeah, 12 minutes or thereabouts.
Snarl.
But nice piano.
I'm running the SHN through another conversion program, to see if that can pull the whole thing out. It's weird that the WAV looks like it wants to be 12, but will only play 2.
(natter, but since this is the soundtrack for R&RNF, not complete natter)
Teppy, Nic glaring at it and muttering, even as we speak...
Heh. Well, give me a minute with this other program first.
t edit Nope -- still getting only 2:18 from the file.
Teppy, Nic says that, converting it to a WAV, he gets a file size of 126,611K
Nope -- my WAV was missing about 100,000 K. Something got all snarled up in the download-y process from yousendit.
Can he send me the WAV via yousendit? That way I can burn the full set (the full Deb-selected set, that it) to CD for you.
Teppy, Nic says in about 15 minutes. He's in full morning meds mode.
He also asked me to ask you what bit rate you're converting the MP3's at?

192 kbps (highest quality that iTunes will do); however, when I burn the CD for you, I'm going to burn it from the WAV files, not the mp3s.
