Aww, poor Emmett. It sounds like he's doing great, but I sort of feel sorry that this will end his baseball season, just as the sun starts to come out and play. My sister was hit in the face with a baseball -- broken nose, broken orbit (in three places) and she looked so awful that her 2 year old son wouldn't come near her for a week. The doctors couldn't believe that she didn't want a "real" nose job, since they had to do a little plastic surgery anyway.
vw, sorry to hear about your legal troubles. I'd offer dust off my JD and write some nasty sounding legalease for you, but university stationery is not very intimidating.
