I was wondering how long the surgery went. That's a long time to wait for word. I hope it passes quickly for you.

I hate waiting for stuff. I think there should be knock-out drugs for some stuff--like waiting for medical news on yourself or a loved one. Loved one's in surgery? Here. Take this pill, it'll knock you out cold, until the exact moment when you get the call, telling you everything went like clockwork.

You've just had a test, and it's going to take 7 days for the results? Here, lie down. We'll hook up this IV, and only shut it off once we can tell you're fine, or that we've successfully treated your condition.

brenda, I'll send some knee-ma for you dad. it's a great surgery, though! My sister's FiL got both his replaced and he LOVES his new knees. He's in his 70's and he's more active than he's ever been.

Tom Petty had it right, even with all the pot. Maybe that's whyfor all the pot. Actually, I have no clue if he smokes pot (except that he's a musician, and so I stereotype, oh, and he looks and talks like most of my favorite potheads).

Well he did do that song, "Last Dance for Mary Jane," which despite the necrophilia-ish video, makes more sense to me as a song about pot.

I think Tom Petty went on record as saying he wasn't sure what the song was about. Which, really, makes the pot thing more likely.
