Spike's Bitches 22: You've got Angel breath

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

If no one was kidnapped, it doesn't sound traumatic (except for the part where you realise you did a dumb thing...which'd sting).

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Tiramisu ice cream

OMG - That's my favorite kind!

Trader Joe's?

I'm getting the pig!

I guess I'm failing to see the trauma. Now, if they kidnap and torture them just to get their point across, that's different, obviously.

brillig

I think the "on camera" portion would be the part to make me pissed if I was a teenager. If your point is to show your kid how not to be dumb, there's no reason to add potential humiliation at school into the mix.

Sure I went over to the Dark Side, but just to pick up a few things.

I guess I'm failing to see the trauma.

I suppose it depends on the kid's age when it happens. I can see the positive side to it, but still.

eta: what connie said

"My drink preference does not indicate my sexual preference. "

Nation Wide Humiliation might be responcible for the camera phobias that are poppin' up

Mostly lurking...

I recommend online grocery shopping when you don't feel well. You save LOTS of money.

Camera phobias? Is this the new thing?

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Baklava ice cream? It sounds like Moose Trail icream... something you would never taste underless slightly drunk.

I was dubious, but it was damn good. Then I pimped it to my sister, who gave me the same crazy look I gave the person who pimped it to me...but she's drinking the kool-aid now.

Maybe I'm reading too much into this, coming right after the break in stories. I guess it depends on whether it goes kid gets in car, driver turns around and says "now wasn't that stupid?," or if they're actually making someone think they've been kidnapped. If it's the first, then I think the lack of trauma is matched by the lack of point. If it's the second, then I stand by my outrage.

Maybe I'm also coming from too personal a place. I've had a gun to my head - being told that it was a set-up afterward wouldn't make it much less traumatic, and any residual effects would be like ongoing betrayals from whatever kind soul set it up. No thanks.
