Death is your art. You make it with your hands day after day. That final gasp, that look of peace. And part of you is desperate to know: What's it like? Where does it lead you? And now you see, that's the secret. Not the punch you didn't throw or the kicks you didn't land. She really wanted it. Every Slayer has a death wish. Even you.

Spike's Bitches 22: You've got Angel breath

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

Thanks everyone. I'm sorry to be needy and leany, especially given the horror -t is dealing with right now...I'm just so unsettled in so many aspects of my life right now, and I'm profoundly scared. I don't scare easily. I don't like feeling this way.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Oh, -t, there aren't words to express how sorry I am. So much ~ma to you and your husband.

Susan, all the best to your father, and coping~ma for you.

I'm still a smoker, but I've cut down drastically over the past 4 years. I used to smoke a pack and a half a day, and now I'm down to a pack every 4 days or so. I decided not to smoke in the new apartment, and that has been the difference. It's amazing how much less I want a cigarette when I have to put on shoes, a coat, and hat to satisfy the urge.

Stephanie, I like Ella, Elena (which would sound very pretty with your last name), and Elisa. I think the option of having a more formal name on the birth certificate gives her the most choices, whatever she decides to become.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

Kristin, you're doing the right thing. All the best decisions are terrifying, I think, because to get the big rewards you have to take the big risks.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Someone please tell me that it's all going to be okay?

It's going to be fine. Honestly, I temped for 10 years. Cobbled together rent money for a year of unemployment. You'll be amazed at how many resources you'll still have without your steady job. And you'll find something else readily. Nobody's going to say No to you.

Really? I may take you up on that.

Hey, I've told you guys about my mom believing that snow is a sign of something big and positive, right? So, I just got an e-mail from her (that she sent to our whole family), and this is how it opened:

It is supposed to snow tomorrow, so it is time for another job update!

I'm almost starting to believe in it myself. But, damn! Snow! Again! It's 56 degrees and beautiful right now. I don't want more snow!

So. Hubby had an MRI this morning to pin down the place in his heart that's messing up the rhythm. I got a call from him saying the hospital's not letting leave until they've got his heart rhythm slowed down. So ~ma for a lullaby rhythim, not a disco beat, please.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Bad, bad Kara. I wonder how expensive a Kara-sized cage would be? Unfortunately, those bookcases are made out of particle board, which is pretty hard to fix.

Now tagless for your comfort.

We're going to have to be careful at the zoo tomorrow, else Kara will end up with a permanent home there.

I can see Kara growing up to own her own demolition company.
