I just think it's rather odd that a nation that prides itself on its virility should feel compelled to strap on forty pounds of protective gear just in order to play rugby.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

vw, if there's one thing I've learned from watching zillions of home repair shows, it's that curtains are always fixable as long as you have a sewing machine. ("House Invaders" is very big on updating curtains with a contrasting sewn on edge, which looks fab and makes them fit different-sized windows)

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Dammit. I knew Mary Landrieu was to blame. She's getting a letter.

Mostly lurking...

It looks like I added wrong while cutting the fabric. So, I cut all three of them two inches too short. At least I'm consistent. The good news is, they *should* still be long enough. I think we figured an extra six inches in. I had already used part of that in the way that I sewed the top of the curtains. But, I think they'll still be *just* long enough. Phew!

Now tagless for your comfort.

I'm glad Dewine is against the ANWR drilling. At least one senator from Ohio is fighting against it.

Much recovery-ma to askye's dad. When my mom collapsed with chest pains at my aunt's house she told my aunt to call my dad and that he could take her to the hospital. I think my aunt's exact words were: "SCREW THAT!" She called the ambulance.

Pretty goths slay me.

Lisa Loeb is hawt. Although DH strongly suspects that Ethan Hawke and she had a thing when he directed her video.

They were close friends back then - I don't think they were romantic though.

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

Anyone have any experience with later-in-life weddings, and what the brides wear? Wedding dress places (and nice-dress places, where I'm also looking) all seem to assume an audience consisting solely of skinny-ass 20-somethings. I don't really think my mother wants to be all cleavage-and arms, and she hates mother-of-the-bride type dresses (and so do I).

DH has an innate distrust of Ethan Hawke.

Emily, I've seen classy wedding suits in bridal magazines. And also fabulous, colorful dresses, too. The good thing about later weddings is that you can do WHATEVER you want. You're not held back by the constraints of expectations of the "bridal dress".

The status is NOT quo.

DH has an innate distrust of Ethan Hawke.

I do too, but I think that has to do with his version of Hamlet.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Frankenbuddha has a new tag.

health-ma for askye's dad.

Sex pollen? Is this how Poison Ivy procreates?
