[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

What is even happening?

Stephanie, do you have a birthing partner taking the class with you?

Now tagless for your comfort.

The snot monster has descended on the baby. Feh.

I saw Bat Boy the Musical on Saturday and it was So. Freakin'. Funny. My stomach hurt I laughed so hard. Excellent production, considering it was all locals. The guy playing Bat Boy was a local actor who had been working in NYC, so he was head and shoulders above the rest of the cast. And he was HOT, too. Pale make up and pointy ears are obviously not enough to turn me off.

We also watched Troy last night. Not as bad as I thought it was going to be. Brad Pitt's body is unblemished perfection. Sometimes I forget just how pretty he actually is.

brillig

The apricot trees are in bloom. Stupid apricot trees. You'd think they'd know that the March warm spell is always a feint to get the apricot trees to open up their little buds so that the return of frost can freeze them up.

Not a bad thing for the front yard orchard, though, because apricots get to be way too much of a good thing and drop all over and make the sidewalks slimy.

Anyone want a cat and a dog? They're very cute, albeit VERY bratty today.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Mmmm, apricots hot off the tree.

{{Anne}} Oogy stomachs are such a pain to deal with, even as they get better. Because better is not really good, so often.

A little prayer for Chris (and a big one for me, that I don't have an anxiety attack) around 11:00 am (8:00 am, board time) wouldn't be rejected. Chris is going for his kindergarten screening. This is a semi X-post with Natter, where I've explained more. Glrurrrghl.

Trust my rage

Stephanie, do you have a birthing partner taking the class with you?

Sort of...My friend Denise offered to go to the classes with me and I'm happy to have her so I don't feel so "on my own." I am leaning towards natural childbirth so I have hired a doula to be there with me. If everything goes as planned, Joe should be there for the actual birth, but he will have missed all the classes, so that's why I have the doula. But she doens't go to classes, so that's why my friend is coming.

Cindy, good luck! I'll be thinking of you.

Anne, how are you feeling? Did you end up going in to work?

When all the animals came out to sing!!! I nearly peed my pants at the bumping and grinding.

And our Bat Boy was really very good. He had great stage presence and captured both the physical and the emotional part of the role.

It was better than I imagined.
