'Trash'

Spike's Bitches 22: You've got Angel breath

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

All is well that ends in pizza.

There's supposedly a reason that one does not drink wine from 32+ ounce steins, but I'm a little vague on the specifics.

Wine steins? Weinstein...
"Bartender Weinstein! Fetch me a quart of your best Chateau LeNeuf! Make it a '34!"
"Oy! Enough with the quarts! I told you, I can give you a liter, and it'll be in a bottle! What? I should convert to quarts for you? Feh! You should be so lucky! You'll also get '46, and like it!"

Cool, accidental numberslut.

brillig

For those of you following the health games at home, I had a doctor's appointment today. Blood pressure 120/88, diabetes three-month average 6.5, down .1, doc is pleased. Cholesterol is too high, but I'm a carnivore. More drugs, whoopee.

I don't know if Hubby's cardiologist is gadget mad or what, but he's got an MRI *and* a CT scan this month. The CT is for possible problems with his lungs, and the MRI is to narrow the focus on his heart rhythm problems. Fortunately, the doc wanting the MRI is supposed to be one of the best in the world at fixing these things.

What is even happening?

Nora, you made me want my Nana back, not that I ever don't, but grandmothers totally get it. Your grandmother is wise, discerning, completely right, and rocks.

sj, I hope you're okay. Health and rest to you.

Maria, I want things to get better for you. Now.

much health~ma to sj. I hope we hear from her soon!

More yays for Nora!

connie, sounds like a good appointment. Good luck with all of DH's tests this week.

This is SO totally true. Even my step-grandma totally gets it. I'm sure gonna miss her when she's gone. This is my grandma that knows nothing of my political attitudes ('cause we've never discussed them and my parents certainly haven't discussed it with them), and when she talked to me after the DNC, she asked if I went. I told her that I hadn't and kind of laughed. She responded with, "You bad democrat!" She knows...God only knows how she knows, but she knows.

That reminds me, I should call her (and my grandpa too...but, when I call I talk lots more to Grandma Marian than to grandpa).

Now tagless for your comfort.

{{{Maria}}}

lots of health-ma and recovery-ma to sj.

Owen had a hellish bout of teething last night. DH said he nearly woke me because O just slid out of his lap and walked around the ottoman for about 20 minutes crying inconsolably. Poor thing's a bit better this morning. We had pancakes and pears for breakfast.

I didn't actually make that up. I'm pretty sure I got it from some other philospher or writer. I don't remember who, but somebody else said it.

So, tag away, just don't credit me for saying it.

Done...and done. Thanks.

Hey Maria, it may not be of help, but years ago when I was being ground into a paste by the IRS, someone suggested that I contact my representatives office. Every such office has a tragically underused IRS liaison.

After 18 months of horror, it took only three days before I got a personal letter of apology from the regional IRS director and the bad men skulked away.

And for reference, the thing they were hounding me about was a stupid mistake but it was, in fact, a mistake I made. Sounds like you have a very firm leg to stand on.

Sending peaceful resolution vibes your way.
