That's great. May this be the beginning of a new trend.
It's in the 50s here today! I have windows open -- and there's a nice breeze going that doesn't even feel cold.
Woo hoo! Spring-like weather.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

It was great to hear from billytea--I miss his regular contributions to my education! Nonian, I'm so sorry about the scratch, but yay! on the new car. And what Cindy said--the dealer can get you a little applicator with matching paint.
I wish DH would get finished fiddling with the PC--I want to go couch-shopping!

My first thought was that you were going to go shopping from your couch. It's shopping for a couch, though, right?
As is true of almost every day, I need to be working and I'm not. The Braves are on the radio. I don't like the new station they're on. There's no real reason so far except that I have to work really hard to avoid anything else the station runs; it's the station of Rush Limbaugh, among other thingsj. I did e-mail the station to ask when the schedule was going to be posted on the web, because I couldn't listen to the station to find out because my head would explode. I did get an e-mail back the next day from the sports director, thanking me for my "funny e-mail" and saying "soon."
I need to be working and I'm not.
Ditto. But as soon as I'm done with what I'm doing, then I'll work. Or nap. Probably nap. But then, I'll work. I swear!
I was going to work, but then my mother called and set a record for the number of times I said, "Well, we both have stuff to do," without being able to get her off the phone. After that I had lunch, and whatever tiny bit of momentum I had was gone.
Oh, Ginger, I do sympathize, I have so been there.
And yes, shopping for a new couch. Well, right now we're at the very beginning stages of seeing what's out there, since we haven't shopped for upholstered furniture for at least a decade.
I have mini bundt pans. I should really use them sometime again....
Nonian, that sounds like a very yummy supper. Sorry about the car!!
The Italian Job is on Showtime. But I'm supposed to be leaving the house soon. I hate when I get sucked into things...
Mmmmmmm...pancakes and bacon! What a wonderful breakfast!
I miss pancakes and waffles. It's not that I can't have them but it just isn't right without oodles of maple syrup. And all sugar free syrup does is make things soggy.
I also miss eating a dozen home made chocolate chip cookies.
Ironically I could probably eat them somewhat more often if my diabetes got worse and I had to start taking insulin to compensate.
So, I guess that's one of those "be careful what you wish for" things, isn't it?
Never mind. Nothing to see here. Move it along.
In other news...
It's 51 degrees outside here right now. Wooooooooooo! Heat wave!
I'm heading out!!!
(sorry for the whining)
In other news, Microsoft [link] continues it's tradition of stealing ideas and making them their own.
Microsoft Creates Weasley Clock
Microsoft has created a new digital wall clock which strongly resembles JKR's Weasley clock we read about and saw in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. Rather than using numbers, the clock points to places like 'Home', 'School', 'Work', etc. This creation went on display yesterday at Microsoft's Techfest, an annual science fair which displays creations being developed in Microsoft labs around the world. As one person commenting on the article noted, they forgot the locations 'lost' and 'mortal peril'. [link]
