Yes, it's terribly simple. The good guys are always stalwart and true, the bad guys are easily distinguished by their pointy horns or black hats, and, uh, we always defeat them and save the day. No one ever dies, and everybody lives happily ever after.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Oh, Lilty, sorry about your poor wee fishie.

Much calm and peace to Cappucino and her humans.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Deb, I hope Cappucino's remining time is peaceful. I know she will feel as well loved as she always has.

Sorry about Captain Jack, Lilty.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

I'm getting the pig!

Deb, I'm not sure if you'll see this but I'm assuming that when you said:

having her euthanised, and making her last hours miserable.

it was due to having to bundle Chino up and stress her out with a trip to the vet. If so, your regular vet can probably recommend a vet that makes house calls. If that's what you meant. If not, please ignore me.

Much love and comfort to you, Nic and sweet Cappucino.

Because books.

Susan, the "not sleeping" picture is definitely my favorite. It's very much, "Hey, Ma, look what I can do!" So cute.

I'm sorry about Captain Jack, Lilty! I really thought he was going to outlive us all.

Much soothing~ma to Chino, Deb.

Health/sanity~ma for connie and DH. The band metaphor was very good indeed, by the way.

My favorite part of the picture is something I didn't even notice when I was taking it because I was laughing so hard--the fact that her plush giraffe's feet are also stuck through the bars.

Annabel, our perfect sleeper, was awake from 4:00-5:45 last night. I think I made up for most of the lost sleep by sleeping in till almost 9:00, but DH didn't have that option. And philosophical debates on how best to handle a wakeful and cranky baby don't go very well at 4:15 a.m.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Must have been a strange night for babies - Em woke up at 3:30. Something she hasn't done in a while.

Biggest understatement in. the. world.

I missed the giraffe feet! Now I have to go look again. How did I miss that?! So very funny.
