Booking a "direct flight" from CT to CA and then realizing it stops for an hour in the middle and makes the entire damn trip just as long as it would have been if you'd had a connection.
Did the plane have to stop and rest?
Well, at least you didn't have to worry about making a connecting flight, and the running through the airport and what-not.
This is for my April trip. I agree, the not having to make a connection thing is nice; it's just that I paid more for that flight because I was psyched about the shorter time.
Doh!
Gronk.
And stuff.
People are coming to visit. Yay!
Thanks for the virtual hug, Laura. With the way my nose is running, I doubt I'll get any RL hugs for a few days.
ChiKat, I just bickered with a frail old woman for three boxes of tissues. May your tissue purchases be less eventful and your snot monster decide to vacate quickly.
Did the plane have to stop and rest?
Heh. It's a long flight!
I paid more for that flight because I was psyched about the shorter time.
Is it any consolation to know that you've helped others by sharing your tale? I just noticed that I was on the verge of doing the exact same thing with not one, but two flights. Tricksy flights.

Are you sure? Reeeeeally sure?
Well, he's looking DAMN dead. I haven't flushed him yet, though. I noticed this morning his color was not good, but I thought it was just his usual bi-weekly death throes.
