Spike's Bitches 22: You've got Angel breath

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

What colors do people wear in the tropics, by choice? Is there a winter season and a summer season?

Lots of white. And colors that make you feel silly and out of place when you travel. Not that it is really the tropics here, but we do wear some wonderful colors.

I found myself out and about yesterday in white cutoff jeans, white sandals and a sweatshirt. It was cold.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Teal is back? Oh, cool! I actually look good in teal. Or is it a bad teal?

It's mostly been a bad teal, much like the lime has been a bad lime. More turquoise than teal, I suppose.

YTealMV, and you may luck into some good teal.

If I only had a brain...

Teal teal teal. The word has lost all meaning.

By the way, Sierra Trading Post has a sale on some very gothy boots. Makes me wish I could buy shoes by mail. (My feet are apparently oddly shaped enough that some lasts just won't fit. Pointy shoes are especially risky.)

ION, I have hit a new personal low for absentmindedness. I forgot to wake up and take my son to school this morning. I got up at 6:30 as usual, did the car pool with Bobby and his friends and got back home at 8AM, which is when I usually wake up Brendon.

I don't know where I got off track. I was sitting in the office I share with DH and mentioned to him that I forgot to give Brendon lunch money this morning. That didn't make me remember. Then I decided to make myself a pot of tea about 10:30 and on my way to the kitchen I thought about the fact that I had washed a load of #1's shirts last night and wasn't it odd that he hadn't retrieved one from the dryer.

Then it hits me that I never got him out of bed! I ran to his room and woke him. No time for the kid to shower. He grabs his clothes and we get him to school at 11:00 when he starts at 9:30. I wrote him a note for an excused tardy that he had a doctor's appointment because it sounded too lame that his mother forgot to wake him up.

He has free rein to mock me for a month now.

Also, as a side-note, on the way out we noticed that the bees were hopping about in the blossoms on our Florida cherry bushes and I told him this was a perfect time for us to discuss the birds and the bees on the way to school. He enjoyed that comment almost as much as the mocking rights.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Lo! Those are boots I need!

Damn, because I loves me a really dark teal. Almost as flattering on me as forest green or dark reds. Turquoise, NSM.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Oooh, nice boots. I hope they'll still be available in two weeks time, as I am saving my spending money for going to the Vampire Ball next weekend.

Our wings are not tired.

I am conflicted on what to do tonight.

Stay home. It's not like you aren't supportive and if he really wanted you there you would know, and you would be.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Teal and turquoise are my best colors. If I were to wear the lime green or bright orange I've seen, people would flee in terror.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Laura, that is too funny.
