Can't do a bob, even though I love them, as my hair grows up on the back of my neck and it needs to be longer to hang down. My hair is babyfine and straight, or at most mildly wavy. Any suggestions?

(...in lieu of which) I really liked the haircut you had the first time I met you in LA at that Thai restaurant. It was a shorter shag with lots of (what looked like) razored layers. It had the Yay!Fun component that I personally associate with Scrappy. As a general rule (with exceptions, of course) I don't think very fine hair works as well at shoulder length. Though I've seen it look good on you at that length with (again) the many face framing layers. Mmmm, such a pretty Scrappy.
