Do you know what else has blood in it? Blood.

Spike ,'Sleeper'

Spike's Bitches 22: You've got Angel breath

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

My mom and stepdad have said that if I move to SF, they're following me.

They aren't kidding. They love the politics, because they're just as liberal as I am; the love the general laid-back-ness compared to uptight Cincy; and they're hugely wine-obsessed.

I told them that if I move and they follow me, I might have to kill them.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I told them that if I move and they follow me, I might have to kill them.

If you're wiley, you could probably shake them during the move.

Tell them you're moving to Portland. Go to Portland. Then sneak off to SF.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

My mom and stepdad have said that if I move to SF, they're following me.

Heh. And your brother's been pushing you westward too. It's like a family conspiracy. They know you belong here.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

My mom and stepdad have said that if I move to SF, they're following me.

You need to do this, at least the moving part.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

It took me nearly 15 years to decide to move back to my home town. I'm glad I'm doing it now, but if I'd done so, say, ten years earlier, it would have been a disaster. I've had enought time on my own as an independent adult that I can move back to St. Louis as such and not as the adult child of my parents, if that makes any sense.

Lyra Jane, you do know that we'll have to get together when you visit Patrick's folks, right?

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Where did you go for your undergrad, P-C?

Rice, in Houston.

Susan has a new tag.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

My mom and stepdad have said that if I move to SF, they're following me.

Tell them to go to Santa Barbara, and you stay in SF and live in a neat little place on the Castro or summat. The important thing here is you in SF.

See? We're all in agreement.

The important thing this morning while actually in SF, is the image of juliana rolling around in a Stitch-ball of frustration.

Up with the sun

Are you planning to have kids sometime in that span, LJ? Sic them on grandpa and see what happens.

I am sort of hoping this is what happens. They would be the only grandparents in this time zone, and they're both great with little kids, so I would like them to be closer for my theoretical future children. Even if they do drive me crazy. (The parents, not the kids.)

you do know that we'll have to get together when you visit Patrick's folks, right?

Of course! It will be a nice escape. And I want to see you again before you move, too.

Careful, or I'll roll my way over to SF and rampage through with a Hawai'ian hula girl lamp as lighting and then steal everyone's left shoe.
