Light at end of tunnel in sight.
Yup! The final one will be dropped off at the prof's office tomorrow. He's not going to see it till Tuesday, so I could drop it off on Monday, but I want it off my plate and out of my mind. Plus, I'm celebrating the completion of the incompletes with the Somervillains on Sunday. It wouldn't feel right if I hadn't actually dropped it off.
I have enjoyed reading your progress towards finishing your school projects vw.
Thank you so much. I hope everyone knows how much I value the support I receive here. Sometimes I worry that I'm either boring everyone to death or making people crazy with all my chatter. So, it's nice to know that I'm not doing that.
I love reading Buffistas victories. I shall toast the completion of the incompletes with you Sunday, virtually.
I'm looking forward to hearing that Daniel did well on his interview this morning.
It has been exhausing, in a good way, reading Anne's progress with her house prep.
It is fine and well to give comfort to fellow Buffistas when they are in pain, but it is the natural balance to be able to share in the joys as well.
The full moon is a fist-width above the western mountains, which are turning pink and white instead of blue-grey. The southern faces of the eastern mountains, which are about a mile away from my office, are catching the sun. It's like a celestial strip tease, with the sun showing a bit more every day. Stupid work, I want to stay outside and watch the sun drop a few more scarves.
Also, I want to know why the spammers think I want a complimentary subscription to "Bassin'."
Daniel, I hope your knee feels better soon.
Susan was right - they're much younger than I said. 12 and 10. Sheesh, that's hardly fair
I think that was me, but I'm glad I was right, anyhow.
I am home, and I will be doing nothing but lounging and writing fic all day. Tomorrow, a little more cleaning, and the house goes on the market in the afternoon.
Then, back to job hunting and temping.
Connie, that was a beautiful description of the sunrise.
Anne, you certainly deserve a day of lounging! My god, girl!
Hi Raquel!
Yay on being done, vw, and on the lounging day, Anne.
Good morning all.
It's snowing here. Some reports say it will be the biggest snow drop in DC this year.
Suits my mood. In the cold, bitter sense...not the fluffy!whee sense.
The inn was sold yesterday to people who literally sat at the table and outlined how the book of Revelations clearly states that Bill Clinton is the anti-christ. Plus? They are shutting the doors and canceling dozens of reservations I have worked hard to get, including the wedding party of some very good friends of mine.
The current owners, who are supposedly friends of mine, simply don't care about the inconvenience and dishonor involved in breaking these agreements.
Me? I'm in a moral dilemma. How can I help put money in the pockets of intolerant asshats (psycho religious new owners) or support my 'friends' in destroying this wonderful place and kicking out even the people who have prepaid to live here for 3 months?
When I signed on to help out with this gig, I had this fantasy that some great buyer would see the fantastic opportunity here, keep it as an inn. I planned on helping the new folks hire a new manager and upgrade the record keeping system...lalalalalala.
Bah.
{{{Beej}}} That is so horrible I have words. I wish I'd had a chance to see the place before the loonies came in.
