I was hoping Brenda had been able to come back and vent. Shot of whatever or a hug to you, Brenda, when you do come back, whichever is most wanted at the moment.
I'm about to go to bed, just wanted to peek in and say hiya.
eta: that's an awfully cute hat, Susan. I'm guessing he didn't think it was a good idea for him to learn to knit, though.

Knee feeling better. Big red scuffed spot, but the bleeding has stopped since last night. I think I can fake it through the interview tomorrow morning.
I hope it heals well. With Diabetes, something like this could well land me back in the hospital if I'm not careful. And still? No insurance.
t /obvious cry for pity, even though others have worse problems.

Here, Dan, I'll kiss and make it better.
Speaking of IMDB, I seem to have a boyfriend in there. Now, if only I can meet him face to face.
No, I'm NOT talking about James Marsters.
Yay vw for the no-migraine. Punctuation and ~ma to them who want.
WindSparrow has a new tag.
Thanks for the birthday greetings, gang. I took today off and went out for dinner. Had a sandwich that would send the average heart doctor screaming for the hills: corned beef, pastrami and chopped chicken liver. Paradise.
Daniel, good luck with that knee.
{{Brenda}}, and the same to anyone else who needs or wants one.
Does WindSparrow?
I've had it for days. But I think since then, the overwhelming majority of my posts have been in Sang Sacre. Which ain't sayin' much. I realize now I should have credited it to.. whomever. Sorry, it has been so long I don't even remember. But I was so taken by the deliciousness of the phrase, utterly swept off my feet by it, that I had a gut feeling that it has an existence independent of the person who ... adapted it from some show she was watching lo, these many years ago.
ETA: rest~ma to Daniel so you can be your best tomorrow.
Daniel, sorry about the knee. I hope it's not too stiff tomorrow. (Why yes, I'm pretty familiar with the skinned knee.)
Hey Bitches, long time no see. I was unexpectedly dark for a week. But I only have about 1700 posts to catch up with in this thread, and then several thousand other posts...so I should be back up to speed in about 2 days.
How are things?
Caught up. Sort of. Digging on Cashmere's violet hair. Interesting Catholicism discussion - I'm sort of a Catholic groupie, I guess. My step-mom used to be a nun, so she's good for all sorts of interesting tidbits with the overlay that comes from the "used to" part. Since she lives in New Mexico she's kind of gotten into the Hispanic iconography of Catholicism, and I have been gifted with an Our Lady of Guadalupe apron, snow globe, t-shirt, milagro, and (my fave) mouse pad. She also sends carved wooden statues of indeterminate saints at Christmas - they are sort of Mexican kachinas.
Based on that, other Catholic friends have made with the kitsch also, so I've got things like Pope John Paul II tea towels and beer bottle openers (really from the Vatican!). I suspect as a result folks who don't know us and come over to our house assume we are Catholic.
Oddly, most people who don't visit my house assume I'm Jewish, though. I didn't even grow up near a Jewish community, so I've no idea where the assumption comes from. I mean, I was raised Quaker-Christian Scientist-Navajo, so go figure.
So anyway, cool to read some of the mechanics of the Catholic faith. Lent (or whatever it's called in Orthodoxy) hasn't started here yet - we're still looking forward to Carnivale. Kind of convenient from a world market standpoint - after October, Halloween stuff goes to Catholic countries (and New Orleans) for Carnivale, and then comes to Greek Orthodox countries for their later Carnivale, and then goes back to wacky America for Halloween (which is the same as Carnivale, really, a day of abandon right before a holy day). So if you missed getting your latex Osama bin Laden mask last October, I can hook you up right now.
rambly...clearly need caffiene.
