Teppy that's so horrible for him and his family. And freaky. Lots and lots of Healing & recovery~ma to him.
Spike's Bitches 22: You've got Angel breath
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Poor guy. Glad he is getting good care, but, yikes.
T-I have very dry skin and what works for me is slathering on baby oil IN the shower. Cheaper than the Olay stuff, seems to work better for me, and takes two seconds. If my skin gets really bad, I use vaseline, and do it right before bed (the baby oil works any old time) and wear long cottony pajamas.
I'll try that when I finish this bottle, Robin. Cheaper is good.
And my recovering Hypochondriac self is gonna have to stick my fingers in my ears and go la, la, la now. Or if I want to be truly evil, freak my dad, who once convinced himself he had a tipped uterus.
OMG, Tep. That's insane scary.

BWAH!
Good grief, Teppy. That's just....wow. Words fail me. Recovery~ma is headed his way. Do they know where he contracted it?
In more pleasant news, I would like to take this moment to wish Lysana many birthday happies. Have a wonderful day!
Do they know where he contracted it?
Nope. Because it's not like catching a cold from someone. Strep A is what killed Jim Henson, because he didn't realize it was more severe than just a sore throat, and by the time he showed up at the hospital with pneumonia, it was too late. Henson didn't have the flesh-eating manifestation, though.
The flesh-eating manifestation happens when the patient has some sort of physical (external) trauma -- like a cut or whacking your arm and getting a bruise, etc. -- and so the bacteria rush to that spot and chow down.

I think I am going to move into a padded bubble. Right now.
That's scary, scary stuff. I'm glad they caught it when they did, Tep.

::faints dead away::
Wait, so it means that when you have strep A and get a bruise -- it can eat your flesh?
I think this disease taps into the same panic centres that leprosy does, and freaked me out as a kid. Your poor boss. And his entire family...
Wow, Teppy. That poor man. All my sensors are on FREAK OUT FREAK OUT FREAK OUT, right now.
