How long have you been having the pains?
For a couple weeks, but they've gotten really bad (as in, bad enough for me to take some ibuprophen & put a ThermaCare patch on) over the past few days. The pain starts at the base of my skull and goes along the left side of my neck, on the front & back of my left shoulder, and some pulling/soreness/tension in my left pectoral.
I'm going to the chiropractor on Thursday. I am not having a heart attack. I'm not. Not, not, not.
I think it sounds like neck/shoulder wonkiness, particularly since it goes to the base of your skull.
Stupid question to the hivemind...If the pain's been going on for a couple of weeks, wouldn't that sort of rule out if was anything else?
The Prairie Muffin thing is just scary.
Single women aspiring to be Prairie Muffins will be known as "Muffin Mixes"
I don't think that's what Buffy meant when she said she was cookie dough.
Prairie Muffins do not reflect badly on their husbands by neglecting their appearance; they work with the clay God has given, molding it into an attractive package for the pleasure of their husbands.
Remember, Muffins: an ugly wife shames your husband! Because it's All About Him.
Prairie Muffins place their husbands' needs and desires above other obligations, arranging their schedules and responsibilities so that they do not neglect the one who provides for and protects them and their children.
See above, re: All About Him.
Prairie Muffins are fiercely submissive to God and to their husbands.
Ditto.
Prairie Muffins appreciate godly role models, such as Anne Bradstreet, Elizabeth Prentiss and Elisabeth Elliot. They do not idolize Laura Ingalls Wilder (Little House on the Prairie) or Louisa May Alcott (Little Women); while they may enjoy aspects of home life presented in their books, PMs understand that the latent humanism and feminism in these stories and in the lives of these women is not worthy of emulation.
Yeah, b/c humanism is just baaaaaaaad.
Prairie Muffins are happy to be girls—they rejoice in the distinctives which God sovereignly bestowed on them which make them feminine. They are also happy that their husbands are masculine, and they do not diminish that masculinity by harping on habits which emanate from the fact that boys will be boys, even when they grow up.
So, basically, if your husband sleeps around and you criticize it, you're diminishing his masculinity?
In addition, Prairie Muffins are careful not to use their feminine, hormotional weaknesses to excuse sinful attitudes and actions, but learn to depend more and more on God's grace and strength in the midst of any monthly trials.
Excuse me, but there is NOTHING weak about female hormones. And I depend on Advil and booze in the midst of my "monthly trials."
See, attitudes like the Prairie Muffins are why I fled the Freak-Ass Church.
hormotional
Is this actually a word?
Maybe only in the sense that "heathesinner" is.
The spending lots of time on a keyboard may have contributed to my shoulder/arm ouchyness. In the past this type of pain has been stopped by the chiro.
Jilli, it really sounds like muscular wonkiness to me.
Happy birthday, Laura!
-t, Cindy, and tommyrot have new tags. brenda has appropriately resurrected an old tag, and in doing so inspired Heather to do the same.
Gronkity gronk gronk. I'm hungry and woke up from an unexpected nap and this membrane shit isn't writing itself.

Being fiercely submissive sounds fun. I might try that.
Happy birthday, Laura!!!!!!!
