Zoe: First rule of battle, little one. Don't ever let 'em know where you are. Mal: Whoo-hoo! I'm right here! I'm right here! You want some of me? Yeah, you do! Come on! Come on! Aaah! Whoo-hoo! Zoe: Of course, there are other schools of thought...

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Thrive to spite them

When I was at the doctor for the sinus thing I made an appt for a physical -- top to bottom & girly stuff-- April was the first available. I know physicals have to be a PITA for doctors to schedule and do, but I can't remember the last time I had a physical so I figure it's time.

Strep can be really scary. I hope it's not one of the drug-resistant strains.

That is scary, Teppy.

Mostly lurking...

Oh, god. I'm going to be in school forever. Who thought this double-major thing was a good idea?

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Scary stuff, Steph. I was out the other night with an aquaintance whose brother died last month from pneumonia, at the age of 32. How fucked up is that?

Now tagless for your comfort.

Steph, I hope your boss is OK. That is scary.

Mom's finally out of the hospital. Provided she's comfortable and strong enough, I'm taking Owen to see her this weekend.

Up with the sun

Steph, i hope your boss is okay.

Cashmere, that's good news about your mom.

On the lighter side: I just got a free sample of strawberry horchata, which is a traditional Mexican drink made with rice, milk and sweeteners. Accordiing to the press kit, this is the first time it's been bottled.

Unfortunately, when packaged and pasturized, the stuff tastes like slightly-watery Strawberry Qik (sp? It isn't Quick, is it?) mixed with powdered Rolaids.

I believe it's "Quik".

Quik is correct. I'm quite familiar with Quik.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

That's too bad, Lyra, horchata is nummy in its natural state. Though I don't know that I've ever had strawberry.
