You're gonna have to fight Aimee for me, Cashmere. The whole time I was in Michigan we were trying to figure out if we could work it out.
I would love to be a nanny, actually. Unfortunately, I'm afraid it won't work very well with my school schedule.
Go Anne! You've been so productive! So, just a little more painting, then you'll be ready for the realtor tomorrow, right?
Yay on the end of painting, Anne!

Pretty much. I still have to clean.
Thursday, I'm taking a "me" day. I'm not sure what that will involve. Maybe a trip down to DC to go to the museums.
I also need to call the temp agency people back and tell them I can start working again.
DH is sick this morning and calling in to work.
Spring can't get her soon enough.
Friday night I went to the masters’ voice recital of a friend of mine, B. B is actually a college friend of my little brother. When she came to BU a couple of years ago, I helped her find an apartment and stuff, and we’ve become good friends. She is probably one of my little brother’s best friends, though. Apparently my brother has asked her out a couple of times, but she’s said no.
This is a big bummer to me. I really love this girl and would love to have her as my sister-in-law. But, of course, I have no say in the matter. My little brother has just started dating another girl…and it sounds like it might go somewhere. We’ll see. Hopefully I’ll like her.
My other brother dated this girl for a while. We became REALLY good friends. Then they had a nasty breakup. We’ve tried to stay in touch, but it’s just been too weird. Now, I love my sister-in-law, but when they first got married, I really wished my brother was marrying this other girl.
Fortunately, B and my little brother are really good friends, so B and I will be able to stay friends. It’s just weird with this whole dating/getting to know and like/then goneness of the girls that go in and out of their lives.
I’m sure the same thing happens with them and the guys that I’ve dated. It’s just, I haven’t dated in a while, so it’s not so applicable.
So, anyway…this is just a ramble of something I was thinking about. Why, yes…I’m desperately avoiding my work. What made you ask?
Go Anne with almost being done prepping the house for sale!
Zen Baby 2 is the cutest picture in the whole world.
I'm so sorry DH is sick, Cashmere. Has he got what you had?
Has he got what you had?
Not sure, -t. Could just be a cold. He was pretty worn down taking care of us all week.
That makes sense. I hope the pattern of Owen gets sick, you get sick, DH gets sick ends now.
vw, I got really close the SoulSuckingDemon's family. I'd dated him for almost three years. My best friend (and college roomie) was planning on moving in with his little brother (SSD and I had actively campaigned to get them together), as I was breaking up with SSD. I'd babysat his nephews and niece. I was close to his sister, and one of his sisters-in-law, and his mother. It was so hard. Because my relationship with him had been so unhealthy, I had to just let them all go (except roomie and her boy, who loved his brother, but could see his SSD qualities).
Every once in a while, I think of the kids. The oldest, and one I was closest to would be an adult now, probably a senior in college or just finishing (if he went). Gah.
My roomie actually got engaged to SSD's brother, but in the end, they didn't work out. I dreaded her wedding, because I was going to be in it, and so didn't want to be, given the whole family would be there. Scott and I had only been together about 6 months, when the wedding was supposed to happen. I had to tell him much sordid history to prepare him, in case SSD acted up (which he would have). Then she called off the wedding. I was so relieved, I had to really concentrate on not WOO-HOOing in her face, when she told me, and give her the appropriate support.
