Aimee, those vegetables had achieved purity and union and bliss. We're lucky they're for sale. $15 is nothing to pay.
Spike's Bitches 22: You've got Angel breath
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Aims has a tantric veggie tag.
True, true. But, unless it's the Veggie Tales veggies, not paying $15.
"Veggie Tales go to Sting's House."
Oh, I've been meaning to mention this...
My workplace is in an old shopping mall converted to businesses, as opposed to retail shops. The old mall common halls make a good place to take my walks during breaks in the day.
Some time in the last two weeks the mall hooked up XM satellite radio to the old mall sound system. They switch around to different channels, but generally picked a station that has oldies AOR.
Last Thursday I took my break and I was going to run to a nearby store, but I heard the strains of In-a-gadda-da-vida and had to take my fifteen walking to that.
The best part was that it was the full-length version and I got to walk to the beat of the drum solo. It had started before I went on break, and was finishing just as I finished.
It was very cool.
Jen, we were just talking about Hunter's death in Natter. Betsy noted the weirdness of today's triad of death: Hunter, Sandra Dee and John Raitt.
I went out to the local gay dance hall and watched "The L Word" with some 1000 other lesbians. It was quite fun, really--I was afraid we wouldn't be able to hear, but it worked out, and it was much fun to have many many other people going "boo!!" or "Whoah!" or cheering. Heh.
And I'm v. v. v. glad I have tomorrow off. YAY for three day weekends. There should be more of them.
Also YAY VW! GO YOU WITH THE PAPER-WRITING AND INCOMPLETE-FINISHING!
I just told my husband about Hunter. He said, "Who's that?" I was essentially clueless about the world in general till I hit college, and I've heard about Hunter S. Thomson. Sigh.

Daniel, not that this is the only place in the world with a shopping mall convereted to businesses, but are you working in Owatonna? I know they did that years ago when the mall really started to fail.
Cool about the music, though!
Congrats, vw, that rocks.
beth, I wish your DH had a job that was kinder to him, too.
vw, Yay, You! on finishing the incomplete. I'm extremely happy for you!
Daniel, that is so cool about the music. I'll bet it was a fantastic walk, and I'll bet you were smiling.
ETA: Cashmere, welcome home. Good news about your mom, and sympathies on the urky innards.
