Anya, the Shopkeepers of America called. They wanted me to tell you that 'please go' just got replaced with 'have a nice day.'

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Librarian Warlord

You're, like, a professional!

Here are the qualifiers: My father carved the board -- my mother, sisters and I all have one that he made. Also, a ship in a bottle. His talents are whittling and making little boats that may be folded and stuffed through the necks of whiskey bottles. He folds a mean paper airplane, too.

The doubles part of the tournament is the social part, so most people play quite drunk. The DH and I were not so drunk, but we did beat the previous year's champs, and the fellow that won the singles that year. In the singles tournament we couldn't get past the qualifying rounds. Still, our doubles winnings covered the cost of playing in the tournament.

And, Lilty, when my family is gathered in Maine this summer, you can take us all on... watch out for my mother, she may look like a nice, gray haired old lady, but she's a card-sharp!

Sure I went over to the Dark Side, but just to pick up a few things.

Timilies all! and I need coffee/caffeine. I poured my coffee into a cup that was supposedly clean but it actually had soap residue in it. Yuck.

What is even happening?

Ouch, Cindy! Promise you'll get to a doctor if the nausea persists! And, when my sister broke her nose and orbit in 3 places (softball in the face) there was no blood really, just smashed face.
Thanks, Sparky1 and Lyra. I'm still feeling a little bit of nausea, but nothing awful. The pain is now a little bit of pressure. I can breathe fine through my nose, and the swelling is minimal. If you didn't know what my nose looked like, you probably wouldn't think it was swollen at all.

Hey, when are all these new babies due?

I think Plei said Princess Ticky Box is due 4/24. Who do we have expecting? I can think of the following people:

Plei
Burrell
-t
Raquel
Nonian

Is there anyone I'm missing?

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Is there anyone I'm missing?

If there is, it's not someone who's made it public knowledge. I think that's everyone who has mentioned it.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Chris hit me across the bridge of the nose with a book, about an hour ago.

You need to keep your guard up around little kids. They will whack you in the face. I watched EM get hit repeatedly by Baby!Emmett and she always looked surprised.

Speaking of EM, she looked *awful* last night. She had an allergic reaction to something - probably from going through Tilden Park over the weekend - and three-quarters of her face was engulfed in a red rash, and one eye was swollen shut. Poor thing. Looked like she'd been dragged face first through poison oak.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Cindy, I hope you've taken some Tylenol or something for the pain. This incident should go into Christopher's "I owe Mom BIG TIME" guilt account.

Annabel needs a dingo snack t-shirt!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Skip the tylenol -- take an anti inflammatory.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Hi.

Healing~ma for Cindy's nose and for the relatives recovering from surgery.

Thanks for the birthday wishes, belated or not, they were good to read. I was very low-energy this weekend so I didn't actually do anything for my birthday (unless ordering Chinese delivery counts as doing something) or for V-day. My poor husband hsa gootten the idea that Valentine's Day is Very Important because a couple of years ago (when V-Day was on a Friday) I had had a very bad week in which I had to take a test in teh evening on my birthday and missed all the phone calls from my family and had no presents arrive and no celebration whatsoever and he got stuck working late on Friday and when he called to say he was finally coming home he said "I had planned to get you flowers but I think I'll just come straight home" and I burst into tears. So ever since then I always get flowers. But even with all that baggage, this year he could see that I didn't want to make a big deal and we could just share a steak and watch 24.

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

Uh oh, I'm not that great at The Game, much to my parents dismay. Mebbe I'll have to brush up with the barflies.
