Illyria: We cling to what is gone. Is there anything in this life but grief? Wesley: There's love. There's hope...for some. There's hope that you'll find something worthy...that your life will lead you to some joy...that after everything...you can still be surprised. Illyria: Is that enough? Is that enough to live on?

Yay, Cindy! I kept thinking, "ought to COMM all that, no, look at all the line coding, I'm too lazy." Yay, non-laziness!

Hey, where's the babe with legs till Tuesday? Do I have to tell you people everything?(It's been fun working that for a chick.)

Of all the labs in all the world, she had to come into mine. And I could tell my thesis wasn't the only biochemistry she wanted. "I heard you solve problems."
"Sometimes. If they're educational."
"I think you'll find this very instructive."
And her Poison mingled with my chemicals. Or was it the other way around?
ETA: I stand corrected, so to speak. On reread the BWLTT is respresented adequately...my bad.

Mostly lurking...

I've had coffee. Feeling better.

Also, I don't know if anyone will remember it, but a couple of weeks ago I posted about my friend J who I tried to call...got the nanny, who told me to call her cell phone...and I got a little worried.

Well, I just heard from her. She's been in the hospital since Friday. Her husband is being a complete dick (which is not surprising). But, she's ok. It was so good to hear from her. I was actually thinking about her last night and got a little worried that I hadn't heard from her. I was gonna try to get in contact with her again today. So, I'm so glad she called. I'm gonna go see her tonight.

In some ways, I'm glad I'm doing as well as I'm doing, because it's going to make me able to really be there for her in the next while. When she does go back home things are going to be really difficult, and she told me she's going to need an outlet, and wondered if she could really lean on me. I'm in a place where she can, and I'm really glad about that.

vw, how goes the school work?

The schoolwork goes. I had an idea for the poems last night, and I've forgotten it. So, I'm a little frustrated about that, but I'll come up with something else. Maybe I'll use this situation with J...that might be good actually.

Deena, that sounds like such a wonderful evening. I'm so glad you had a nice time. Also really glad that the car started ok this morning. There's not much more frustrating than having to deal with expensive, non-expected car repairs.

What is even happening?

Hey, where's the babe with legs till Tuesday? Do I have to tell you people everything?(It's been fun working that for a chick.)

Without going back to check, I'm pretty sure Teppy started it off with something about a dame with a pair of gams illegal in 13 states. Surely, that counts?

Right, Cindy...I edited that to reflect this. My poor detective hasn't seen "gam"...client's a developer and wears suits all the time.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

I love the word "gam."

I saw that on an acting resume, under special talents, she said, "have a great set of gams."

Needless to say, I spent more time checking out her legs than listening to her audition.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Hi! I'm here, ducking in and out quickly before being overtaken by work again.

Hey, would it be a bad idea for me to date a 35-year-old guy with a 12-year-old daughter? Just, you know, out of curiosity.

Nope. Do it.
